What's your #1 issue with the current state of the game?

HOT TAKE: The reason GGG doesn't buff underused skills is because they ACTUALLY WANT the power level to be at current power-level of those "non-viable", unused skills.

I would not be surprised if Spectral Helix, Lightning Conduit, Righteous Fire and Lightning Strike get a pummeling next league. Maybe even an Inquisitor nerf.

They want 2-min fights with archnem rares. They want non-deterministic gamble crafting. They want good uniques/div cards to be this rare.

They want this game.

We are all blinded by our love of what POE is that we don't want to accept what POE is trying to become in POE 2.0.

I think we're the ones that are going to have to change or just remember the "good ol' days".

Like everyone here said, It should be mathematically trivial for GGG to go in and buff trash skills. THEY DON'T WANT TO. It's really that simple... sad but simple.

Removal of reforge keep suffix/prefix and the divine change for the crafting bench. Both are as stupid as it gets for SSF. Already had to annul of a 6 mod item after using 300+ deafening essence of fear ofc i hit the mod i wanted to keep. I've used like 5 exalts while i'm already down 80 divines. There is currently no fun to be had in "endgame". Because crafting sucks i thought that i farm watchers eye. So i did the past few days. I got 36 WE and they all suck.

Nah, they have (more or less) said before, that they want some skills to be "good", and some skills to be "not so good", to give value to the choice of skills - and probably room for introducing new, good, popular skills. I seem to remember Chris saying that if they introduced a new skill and it turned out unpopular - and no one played it, they had failed. New skills apparently need to be better than most. And for a skill to be better than most, most skills need to be subpar.

You aren't meant to choose a skill based on preference in PoE. You're supposed to choose a skill based on META, knowledge and "reading the game". While I understand this approach, it's hard to ignore how it fucks up build/skill diversity.

My number one issue, easily, is that the game has just, very simply, become annoying to play.

They only way I feel when I play it, is annoyed.

Take a break for a week, log in, get chased by lightning guys, while dodging a colored ball and a prison, run around some more, blah blah blah. Mmm...yeah, fuck this, log out.

It's. Just. Fucking. ANNOYING.

No matter how long of a break I take or how close I am to my next upgrade, etc, I just can't get excited enough to deal with the clusterfuck of annoying mechanics.

This is a not a complaint about difficulty. It's just annoying and ruins the flow and the overall experience for me.

That they took away 1/3 of my screen after 5 years of having it. I don't even mind the other changes, but this is something I can't escape to standard to get around.
*Never forgetting how good this game looked at 32:9 instead of 1/3 of my screen being black bars.*
My only issue is that it's just an adjustment phase for poe2, and there is really no point in the game for me until they reach that goal. The real game starts there. Some people like the journey though.
I can't decide between two things: Melee and Uber Bosses.

Melee, because WTF, do something with it. I don't know how or what. But at least try.

Uber Bosses because they are mostly glass cannon only since there is no reasonable level of defense that works in those fights, and the stupid levels of defense are not worth it even if they do work because the fight would take forever with that level of defense/lack of offense. I don't like things that encourage going all in DPS; that's a design flaw. They should encourage more balance in their boss designs in my opinion.

Almost never in between. And of course, when it is in between, the game is designed for you to just instantly logout.


My issue is the scripted 1 shot deaths from white mobs in t16.
I'm able to tank rares with AN mods with no problem.
I'm 97 and everyf..time I'm progressing with my exp bar, some white mob leaper, with no dangerous mods at all, would 1 hit kill me.

Then when I hover my mouse over it, it has only a Resist to cold mod.
It's so bullshit and not realistic, that I can only conclude that this is some kind of scripted thing to make your lvl progress stuck.

There is a third option. Players seem to be choosing this one too - leaving.
the fact that self crafting items from scratch is dead again with harvest changes this league(more common/more likely/keep pre/suf are all major losses).

my enjoyment of this game is greatly improved when I can craft my own items... even if its expensive

for example, during sentinel I spent over 200ex working on getting +3 chaos prefix(because of bad RNG)
, this is basically an impossible thing to do now because of changes.
