And how many times/leagues have the GGG devs and Chris had to do damage control, fixes and apology tours already? I may not have been playing due to being pregnant and giving birth but I did lurk in the forums.

I get he had prior offenses, but the devs did too.

Same old song and dance.

Some people learn right off. Some take more time.

Everyone should be given the chance at getting better.

I agree that he crossed a line he should not have. I am just pointing out that the grass is no greener on the other side.

All I can say is that GGG is going to be a victim of their own HUBRIS. Instead of saying .. "you know what guys..., we have heard you and we are simply going to roll back the servers... and try again in a few weeks" or something similar. Instead they have chosen to ban a streamer for some rather outrageous comments (which were not uttered in game but on his own stream), and chased away tons of players because... by GOD we are going to make this game literally so that it cannot be enjoyed not matter what the player base wants. Can GGG simply not understand that this game isnt about how ridiculously slow and difficult you can make it???? Its about allowing the player base to WIN. THAT IS ALL THAT ANY GAME IS ABOUT. PEOPLE PLAY TO WIN. That is the basis of the GAME. Do you play to LOSE? Of course not. So why then does GGG insist of making it more and more and more difficult for people to play? Every league they do something ridiculous to the atlas instead of adding new bosses and new maps? Instead... lets screw around with the atlas over and over and over again.... create stuff that you have to add this and that and favor this and that and on and on. It should be FUN to play... NOT A FREAKING TASK. To the guys from GGG.... this COULD be a fun game. Currently it's anything BUT fun. Your ridiculous idea to KILL exalted orbs and then make divines dam near impossible to get.... yah... that idea was DOA and should be deleted. I feel like there are people there at your company that sit there league after league and say... ".. lets change the atlas totally around every league so that players spend more and more time messing with trivial crap than actually playing the game".??? If you lack to imagination to do anything else besides making the atlas more complicated each league then you are probably in for a rough future. There are sooooo many avenues for expansion that you all havent considered that are screaming to be tapped and yet you arent doing any of them. I mean seriously.... Stop trying to make the game HARD and concentrate on making it FUN. If your desire is to wind up with a dead game that nobody will support.... I suggest that this league goes a LONG way towards accomplishing that goal. I wish you luck because I think you are going to need it going forward unless you bring on board some fresh blood that has a new vision instead of this self defeating road you seem to be determined to go down. i do not condone personal attacks on anyone in nor out of game. But where does the censorship end? That line in the sand can be moved wayyyy too easily.

The chances are no. So why not, because I AM no one. PoM was a vocal critic of PoE for the last few leagues. Was he an #$%$^, yes he was? But I bet if others here did the same thing, you wouldn't get banned at all.

Okay please don't get mad at me for this chris / ggg staff, but I think an IP ban is too far..
Allow me to explain myself, although idk if what I say matters I'm a nobody...

But I've said some stuff in anger to nemesis mod combinations, and before that some of the nerf hammers that didn't nerf a build I like but instead straight up killed it.. most in anger, and did I mean it? Heck no... after I cooled off I was like man, just relearn, adapt and overcome..
But before he could make it to that point, he got straight IP banned, furthermore he got banned because of actions on the twitch platform..
You can't tell me none of you at GGG have felt angry and said something before your brain realized you said it... we are human, and some of us are more impulsive than others, what matters is if we realize it and both apologize and learn from it..

As for the harshness, society needs a chill pill, both online and offline, everyone is WAY to easily offended, now we see terms like cancel culture, snowflakes and care bears coming up..
You need to be able to know what's important and whats worth causing drama, ending careers ect and what should run off your back unphased... this seems like one of those things, someone says something in anger, you realize they are pumped up, emotions high, so you nod, reprimand them just enough to learn and move on as the bigger person...

But people start talking about feelings getting hurt, egos bruised, when did we as a race become so soft that we cry and scream toxic ect at the first sign of someone being upset... back when I was younger we didn't let things like that phase us, and after heads cooled usually a talk fixed it, water under the rug...

Don't get me wrong here, it's never okay to bully, or to cause someone to feel hurt or attacked, but 0 to 100 is a little rough, a league ban sounds more appropriate, like a "watch what you say or you cant play for the duration of this new content"

I digress, I hope someone important reads this, with a cooled head, privately messages Matt, and talks things through on a more professional and personal level, tell him it's not okay, people got offended, a public apology and a verbal agreement to not reoffend kind of thing..

Again privately, at this point its none of our business.. imho

Let's just end all toxicity, negative posts ect, and just enjoy the game we love so much, all of us... together.
