Why is pathofmatth banned?
" Stop this please. You don't have any idea what legal weight Terms of Services have regarding any law on this planet. You can write anything in your ToS, BUT: whenever your ToS contradicts fundamental rights, these parts of ToS are not valid. It's GOOD to be that way. So, you can deliver all the feelz you have here in this posting to express you find this unfair and brutal. But it's the way it is. A ranting twitcher is not touched by any company's ToS. There could be contracts involved between the twitcher and the company that could be violated. BUT THERE IS NO WAY TO VIOLATE A COMPANY'S TOS BY PLACING AN OPINION TO A PUBLIC AUDIENCE OUTSIDE THE SERVICE AREA. Read this. Read it again. And stop writing feelz about it. Edit: You're even wrong with your 'they can ban who they want' bs. You cannot refuse services to a customer because he's not your opinion. Or voting the same party. Or eating the same food. You're completely on the rainbowed unicorn side of law, if you REALLY think this. Last edited by AngryGekko#0233 on Aug 26, 2022, 1:09:58 PM

" This is about as backwards as it gets. Nobody has a fundamental right to a POE account. Businesses generally do have a fundamental right to choose who they provide service to, except in cases where they refuse service to a person because of their membership in a protected class such as gender or age or ethnicity. Last time I checked, being a video game streamer is not one of those protected classes. GGG has every right to ban a player for any other reason. - here's my sig

" So, if someone enters a store and wants to buy a candle and the shopowner says 'get along, i don't service any streamer'....you're suggesting he has any right to do so? how about lol? Last edited by AngryGekko#0233 on Aug 26, 2022, 1:35:33 PM

" Well I am glad you edited your comment to specifically clarify that you don't understand how services work. You can absolutely tell someone to pound sand if you don't want to work with them. As always MMV by where you live, but in the US, below is the law. A business owner has the right to refuse service as long as he or she does not infringe upon federal or state discrimination laws. They can deny service to PathofMath for simply not liking him or because he beat Chris Wilson in bowling. This thread is full on troll mode. " He legally can refuse service. If you are in the United States and don't understand this, I suspect you are someone who thought a business can't refuse services for not wearing a mask as well. These areas while open to the general public are not public spaces and you can be kicked out at the discretion of whoever is operating the business. |

" If this is true for the US, i can truely confirm it isn't for the EU. |

" Yes. As dumb as it would be to do so, the shopkeeper does indeed have that right, at least in the U.S., and I'm guessing most other places. There have been court cases here in the U.S., such as the one a few years ago where a bakery refused to fulfill a wedding cake order for a gay couple, where that right to refuse service is affirmed. Even for otherwise frivolous reasons. - here's my sig
