You might be running an "avoid ailments" chance map, or you might not be shocking with your hits if they didn't crit.

I noticed the survivability problem too, and I've made a much-improved evasion version of the build you should check out. All you have to swap is your helmet, defense aura, and a flask, with very minor differences on the tree. It's a huge improvement and I've been playing that one. The reason for this oversight is because of Archnemesis changes making the game shift the types of damage that come in.


I don't see the change in the new PoB, can you explain the change?

Not specific to that build but just a reminder that a high level wave of conviction can and will kill you on a physical reflect map.
Since we use one on CWDT in this build I thought it would be useful to share that piece of information here to avoid some stupid deaths...

On a side note now that I switched to the evasion version, applying conductivity is harder since I dodge most of the attacks. And when I don't it's usually not a good sign.

Just grab a thunderfist and you don't have to apply conductivity any more

Yea, this is mentioned in the map mods section of the guide.

As far as the CWDT conductivity thing yea, it triggers less, but a lot of the tougher mobs don't really give a benefit for getting the curse on them. We have 'overcapped' mobs in the game now right, curses and exposure apply to base res, doing nothing, and then lightning pen applies AFTER this as a second calculation, which actually does something.

As Vainone mentioned, other DPS increases help a ton. Conductivity often doesn't help a lot, even though it's worth it.

I think I'm mostly missing the cluster jewels and the power charge rings now but the rings are so expensive. I know they add a ton of DPS but still.
Ligthning conduit helps a bit but the whole DPS is a bit inconsistent (lightning damage range doesn't help).

Cluster jewel and levels alone is a MASSIVE damage boost.

Hello, i have finished campaign areas and moved into maps , first unique i picked up was the wand. The 200 damage taken per power charge if you've crit recently is brutal since we always crit and always have a fuck ton of power charges.

Howe are we supposed to not die from this? maybe im missing something , but sometimes if i smack a pack large enough i will quite literally kill myself without any way of...not

through campaign build was badass so i see the potential. Just trying to kill myself less :)

You need Soul Drinker from your ascendancy to sustain the damage thanks to the energy leech.
