New Lightning Skills

I was gonna try lightning conduit with orb of storms and a massive AoE through hiero. Shock everything with OoS, cast lightning conduit, which triggers OoS to attack again and reapply shock. Rinse and repeat.

Unless my order of operations is off in how the shock is applied.

I'm liking this one, best pseudo solution i've heard so far by a long way! Good enough that I could see it having legs which is all i'm really interested in :p

Well if you decide to throw together a PoB post it here. Im still throwing around ideas in my head to include a full on thunderdome character with arcane cloak, sigil of power and frost shield. Its getting to a lot of button presses but ive always liked more active characters.

Still debating about auras, going full MoM or even trying to get archmage in there but im not home until Wednesday so all I can do is dink around in the little poe mate app.

Keep in mind i'm a HC pleb so this is a HC league starter tree but honestly if OOS works as expected then this is excellent, 3 mil Sirus for that garbage gear with very few boxes ticked is excellent.

Few notes - two routes to get to shock cap, you can do big crit with the new overcharge support and some extra effect or just go elementalist and scale the effect by itself. I chose the latter with non crit because its easier to build at league start. Inquisitor or Assassin would almost certainly do more damage when properly geared.

Secondly you'd need a shock skill for actual clearing, OOS would be for bosses you'd probably just want Arc in with your OOS to shock packs so you could conduit them, clear with OOS by itself would be very poor. Also any packs with ailment bullshit will be a headache I don't remember if anybody still has full shock immunity but you'd literally have to skip them if there are.

Still i'd play this, I'm getting tempted.

Edit: Also I personally would run Intensify over Conc in conduit itself but i'm very comfortable with cast windows so can ramp up - the area would be great the rest of the time for general clear.

Im a fan of tankier chars so im all for it. Ill take a gander at it when im home and mix up some ideas.

Wondering if I can get OoS to have enough aoe that it literally covers the entire screen so its clear still works. But I need pob and whatnot to check. Arc as a backup isnt a bad idea though.

Orb of Storms will work. Its zap is triggered at the start of Conduit's cast. Nice find, @gladiatropie!
Both OoS and Conduit have very fast cast times and autotargeting, so the clear should not be too bad.

I am thinking about Doryani's Fist, Battlemage's Cry to trigger Lightning Conduit, and Redblade Banner to scale with just Spell Damage.
In theory, the slam is big enough to clear, strong enough to properly shock, and slow enough to account for Lightning Conduit's cooldown.

Well to give credit where credit is due I had DS Lily's stream on in the background while brainstorming this and she mentioned it.

I am a Kitava's Thirst enjoyer so I will be blasting spells out of my Meme Hat to apply Shocks on my targets while casting an Archmage Supported Lightning Conduit.

Someone said Skitterbots won't work as they only apply shock one time, right? Or is 1 time enough per mob?

Lightning golems don't apply shock? or just aura buff to lightning dmg?

Seems one streamer is going the mana route for shock effect, I may try a build without mana for this.
