New Lightning Skills

Someone said Skitterbots won't work as they only apply shock one time, right? Or is 1 time enough per mob?

Skitterbots apply shock constantly. If it works like Hexblast and Blasphemy curses, Lightning Conduit will not remove the Bots' shock.

Lightning golems don't apply shock? or just aura buff to lightning dmg?

Aura is just a buff. Golem can technically shock with its spells and attacks, but I would not count on that honestly.

Genuine question, how well does OOS shock? A lot of lightning condiuts' damage will be off of the shock %, can OOS get pretty high?

As discussed in previous pages, there are ways to make OoS shock really well.

The straightest way to cap out the shock is by building around Elementalist's Shaper of Storms node.

i can't help but like the idea of using shock nova and lightning conduit.

essentially you can support annomalous shock nova to be more of a support, just to apply high shocks at 100% chance without the need of crit, and lightning conduit as the main damage source.
lightning conduits mana cost is low, its cast speed is low, its damage and effectiveness are insanely high.

so you use shock nova for the 100% chance to shock, annomalous has shock as though dealing 100% more damage (at 20%, so higher if supported), and it will have 10% maximum effect of shock, and high base aoe, stuff like that.
you won't need to use crit so you could use that thing which gives lucky lightning damage or something if you wanted to.

lightning conduit could possibly even be triggered. it adds its cast time to cooldown time if triggered, but with enough cast investment you could make this quite low.

i have no idea what would be great for gear and stuff anymore, given that i haven't played for multiple leagues, but yeah this is probably the best idea i could come up with.

with shock novas already good base damage and effectiveness, it gives you a good chance to get enough damage to maximize the shock effect (at least 60% right off the hop) which is a huge bonus to the already massive damage lightning conduit is rockin'.

i suppose you could run galvanic field just for clean up damage, but seems to me like you'd be better off just using herald of thunder since its duration will refresh and you won't have to constantly recast it.

As an update incase anybody doesn't go to check reddit for updates because they always end up there first, Conduit got a fairly substantial buff already, a little over 20% more damage and an extra base crit and extra 5% per shock. Galvanic got buffed too but i've not looked at the numbers of that either way this is a very substantial increase to its viability.

Also in my PoB I don't know if area damage works guys so anybody who plays it make sure you check before just sticking Conc in.

Wow that buff is hilarious. This thing is either gonna be broken or absolute crap lol
I think its trending towards broken with certain setups, its gone from viable with synced shock application to viable single target in most circumstances. That starter gear PoB i made now has some of the most broken numbers i've seen on a starter.

Still gonna go with SRS though, clearing so much more important than bossing on first character.
Their are shock immune monster mods. Unless they fix that, I won't be touching them.
