Why is Mathil able to do everything that is impossible according to most of the complains here?

The word Streamer is thrown around here way to much like it would mean anything.

Outside of empyrian and maybee zizaran (when he plays with a group not in ssf) no streamer is part of the 1% or 0,01% or whatever you get my point.


I seriously think that most people here on the forum have no concept about how the top players/groups actually play the game.

Like how "professional" PoE really looks like. Its so disconnected and different from what the average guy does in PoE that you would think they play a different game.

Most of those groups keep a low profile because they dont want to share their currency/farming strats. Streaming would not benefit them.

As a average player you only get a glimpse into their world at the end of the league when they reveal some stuff because their strat wouldnt work in a new league anyway. Post like "How we managed to drop a Headhunter every 10th map" or stuff like that.

Like did you ever think about who buys your winged scarabs?
Those guys do. Now think about how much currency they make in a single map to justifiy using 4 scarabs each worth up to 80c.

If you compare it to real life you could say most streamers are upper middle class, they are no where near the billionairs at the top, not even close.

Mathil is not bad at the game but he definitely plays the game, beside time investment, really casual.

Like I said he doesnt use a farming strat, no group play, no organised guild stuff, no real crafting, no curse & aura bot following him around, no currency flipping ect.

He just plays the game normaly like every casual player out their.

Also most of the streamers play the game very casual. Most of them just stumble through random maps and do whatever they want without any real commitment. The "just have fun" and dont thread the game like a buisness. Empyrian is the only big streamer that plays the game non casual.

I mentioned it before but again, you guys seriously do not understand how the top 1%, the hardcore crowd the whales play this game.

If you guys that complain constantly would just actually read the wiki and everything about the game you could easily make builds and farm currency like anyone else. Knowledge > everything in PoE.

how do you know so much about what he does and doesnt do? do you watch his full stream every day?

People saying "Mathil is not bad at the game". WTF?

Anyway, what Mathil does show very convincingly is that skill plays a big part in Path of Exile. I on the other hand show very convincingly that a 64 year old average player who knows how to make currency can "buy" his way to a similar proficiency as Mathil (with about 10x the investment).

I mean its kinda true the streamers dont play the game like the top tier players do. Empyrean is an exception to this but even then its group play while its profitable its not even close to real strats of live searches going on for items on popular builds. Just a little insight here:

The moment the first dex stacker presented his build to reddit he even advertised his kewl Timeless jewel for 20% increased dex. Guess what the same moment the top tier players are buying that exact number id for that timeless jewel around 20c and reselling for 50ex.

The most powerful IDs never make it to the public market because they are a well kept secret and instantly bought out by private indexer once they hit the market.
Most of the time they go in self use because they can be very rare. The other times the items being resold to min/maxers and build followers for huge margins.

Shocking fact: the top tier players in regards to richness often dont even have a build to beat normal uber elder let alone uber uber content.

Telling most people to do what mathil does and play POE 12 hours a day is unrealistic and impractical in a reasonable manner. Not impossible. Just absurd and foolish suggestion.

ITT: 'nobodies' gossiping about a 'somebody' who has far better things to do than care about what they think. I think I've seen pretty much the same thing on my Facebook when people get really into talking reality TV shows.

Christ, this league must have been a disaster if GD is already at this level of pointless activity. This is some serious 'when's next league we're getting real fucking agitated over here' energy.

no, its not a strawman, people make comments like this in the forum endlessly, that you HAVE to play one of a handful of meta builds to do endgame. the op isnt makign a strawman, hes commenting on these exact posts that are always on the forum, thats not a strawman, thats a valid response to an actual thing.
