Why is Mathil able to do everything that is impossible according to most of the complains here?
" Anyone can do it, if you do it for a living. You people keep missing the obvious point. If you play 10+ hours a day on a game for 10 years, you know how to play it your way. You can't compare streamers and no lifers with casual players. "There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die. " ~ Hunter S Thompson ~

Are you guys complaining actually aware that all the knowledge mathil and every other streamer or player which has like 100ex in 2 weeks has is freely available to you?
You all can go to the wiki read it and watch some youtube videos and you would be a the same knowledge level as people with a lot of experience at the game. PoE basicaly forces currency, invitations ect. down your throat if you know what you are doing. Knowledge > everything in PoE. Even if you are just bumbling through maps aimlessly its almost impossible to not get rich if you are knowing what you do. You do not even need that much time to do it, you just need a month instead of a week like some 24/7 no lifers. To me it feels insane how a lot of people here outright refuse to learn anything about the game. Its like moving to france and saying "NO!!! I dont learn french, the french have to change their language so I can understand them!" Also... About Mathil, professionaly streaming and "professionaly" playing a game are two different things. Mathil is a professional streamer, he doesnt play PoE on a professional 0,1% level or whatever you want to call it. Like I said before I seriously think most of you do not even know how the "top" players actually play the game. Last edited by Zerber#2188 on Jun 24, 2022, 5:15:24 AM

" Worse. He's breaking the 4th wall and telling everyone that if they're not top 1% at what they do in life, they aren't professionally doing it. Also, apparently playing PoE without no-life grinding, being as meta as possible, or joining a group of min-maxers - is like living in France without speaking French. The guy's trolling surely. " You dont need to 24/7 this game. You dont need to play like the 1% (which Mathil def. isnt). You dont need to give up everything else. You just need to know how to play and what to do. All of you complaining are purposefully misinterpreting what I was posting because actually reading what was posted would mean that you have to do some introspection and admit that you and the others just simply lack knowledge about the game. Something that is easily archiveable if you guys would just inform yourself. Nobody can help you get better if you do not admit that you just simply lack knowledge. This whole conversation is basicaly like a low ranking moba or shooter player complaining that the guys on higher ranking play unfair or cheat because he doesnt understand how the game actually works. Edit: The fact that people here think that 10 EX / hour is an insane made up fantasy claim shows that theirs clearly a fundamental lack of knowledge about the game. Especially this league where you can just basicaly run maps and get suffocated with drops with zero real investment, like you have to really get out of your way to avoid learning about it. " The fact people measure their currency generation shows a fundamental lack of knowledge about the game before you even get to is it a stupid number presented. |

" You basically made up a nonexistent problem with your original thread title, probably to incite the complaints you're eliciting now. The game has changed ALOT since I started. I've already lost count of how many random uniques in my stash are now at legacy values after being nerfed for one reason or another and most have long since fell out of favor. Builds that were seen as too popular get heavily nerfed, and most to the point where they are no longer "viable". To define "viable" we're talking practicality here - you can make a lot of things work (that otherwise wouldn't) if you throw enough currency into it. It doesn't make a lot of sense to throw hundreds of exalts at something if you can get better overall performance at a fraction of the cost. I remember when determination was a very niche thing. Now its almost standard, and it started heading in that direction when they nerfed cast when hit immortal call. Physical damage mitigation became progressively more important and long gone are the days of only having to avoid telegraphed big hits. Dual wielding melee buffing damage through offhand and using a skill that only used main hand was so long ago they've tried to "revive" melee (slam skills intro) and yet now its in probably the worst state its ever been. If they were doing "too much damage" why kill it only to move the goal posts -- damage reqs now are so much higher than they were. A player is essentially having to utilize skills and setups that scale up well enough that they can still manage to fit several defensive layers. Glass cannons now aren't really glass and mitigation potential now is a far cry of what it used to be. Elemental immunity? Flasks got nerfed (twice now really) and 90% cap was set. Physical mitigation? We lost the utility of immortal call but physical damage is deadlier now. Archnem league felt like things were in a decent spot, mainly thanks to atlas changes and the fact that you could pick and choose what archnem mods you fought on what character you were on. Then they decided to integrate archnem mods into base game without consideration of its impact, especially during the leveling portion with little to no resources. And on top of that, introduced even more difficult bosses with a multitude of conditional challenges for the league. Aspirational content is all find and dandy but not so great if so little of the player base aspires to actually do it. In archnem league I killed everything I could aside from the forgotten invitation and a maven observed uber elder. I tried an uber shaper and "uber" sirus and failed both miserably. I'm sure I could down them eventually. But, given the expense of each attempt my desire to complete "fresh" harder content is eclipsed by practicality and sheer loss of interest. Yep, totally over league play.

" So's the internet, the greatest repository of information in the history of the world, and most people are still fucking idiots about most things. And most of those things are far, far more important than Po fucking E. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between. I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period. Last edited by Foreverhappychan#4626 on Jun 24, 2022, 8:20:50 AM
