Why do you keep nerfing fun every league?
" This is a forum for feedback and suggestions, not for insulting the skill of other players to make yourself feel better. No matter what level of knowledge they have, or what content a player finds enjoyable, their feedback is valuable. GGG is capable of determining the validity of concerns and correlating it with player data to make informed decisions. If you have nothing constructive to add to the conversation, then don't. Go enjoy the game. Last edited by jerot#5117 on May 19, 2022, 4:10:30 PM

You had me at 0 rewards. Don't input things that waste/ suck time and then not adjust the rewards to reflect the hard work
No, hell no. That's so very pointless man. |

" Very very true and I love your signature "Path of Exile is a Casino for gambling addicts. Gambling is not fun nor a game mechanic... PoE 2... No thanks Offline PoE would be my jam !!" |

"Agreed for the most part, but it seems completely fine to talk mad sh about ggg. If so, then anything should be free game. And don't even think about calling it criticism, much less constructive. Last edited by AlvinL_#4492 on May 20, 2022, 12:02:57 AM

It's been two leagues i finish the campaign and then leave.
Why? Boredom essentially. I was able to push several characters to lvl 100 (i've 6 or 7 toons max levelled) but it really seems GGG and a good part of the addict community have been decided to exclude a wide range of players out of PoE since 3.17. At this point, i barely have 1 h to 1h30 a day to put into PoE, late in the evening when i'm exhausted. There are some days in the week i finish to work at 9pm, beginning at 5h30am. The time to eat, take a shower etc it's 10h30 - 11hpm and i only play for like 15 minutes before going to sleep... Now that the campaign is over, i'm supposed to continue into maps, like it was before. I'm of course supposed to invest in some items to simply make my build work, as i've been going through the campaing with a mix of stuffs that could bring me through but that really lack both of survivability and damage to perfom in maps. So what are my necessary upgrades to make it work (actually to simply enable the build i wanted to play)? Araakhali's fang 2.3ex and aegis aurora, 8ex rising... Guess what? I have like i said roughly 1h30 to play a game at the end of the day, i'm not going to stupidely grind for 1104 chaos at today's exchange rate for the shield and to add 303 chaos on top of that to get the dagger, only to hopefully make this build begin to work within what? 1 month and the half? When you have little time to play to relax at the end of your day, you are not interested into some silly grinding of that sort, taking in account the fact that you are not doing it because it was designed this way but because you have to cope with an "economical" system drived by people who either consider your time has no value at all, that you can continuously grind for some virtual currencies to even begin to play the game or, even worst, that you can spend your money on rmt's to get the items you need if you don't have time to grind for them.? I'm not stupid, i'll never buy anything virtual with real money (on a free-to-play game it's even sillier) and i have better usage of my time than running after a silly amount of virtual currencies that rises up every day at a pace any person with little time cannot follow. You have on one side this insane grind to get necessary items to begin to play what you want to try and on the other side GGG that decided to add some mods on rare mobs that simply deletes you if you don't deal enough damage to one tap them as soon as you see them. Meaning losing experience on each deaths that mostly come under the form of an offscreen oneshot. This combination of endless grinding plus the total waste of your time as dying after lvl 90 means you play the last two days for nothing (that the price of one death, roughly 1h30 - 2h to farm back your xp, cool when this is the total time you can sometimes put into the game on 3 days) make me think that this game has been completely targeted from a wider audience to a small group of people to makes everything necessary to keep people away from challenging endgame content. And the design of the game that is more and more oriented each league toward streamers that can put 36h straight on launch (which is btw either silly and totally unhealthy) is now convincing me that this is not a game i want to lose time in ever again. This is how i personnaly feel about the state of this game that i loved and played a lot (more than 10 000 hrs on 9 years on it) but now i really feel like it's simply not my cup of tea anymore. I understand that some still love it but for the love of God, those people have to understand that there are people with different opinions, different available amount of time and that is silly to try and make them change their mind just because you can't stand that some of us really dislike the direction this game is taking. I know it's been a long text but i hope i somewhat managed to summarized my personal feelings about the game without trashing it for free. It's not the fact that the game is bad that makes me move away, it's the total lack of balance bewteen the time needed to progress to a stage that is enjoyable and the time i have at my disposal to put into a game. Because to me, PoE is not a way to earn my life, it's just a game i used to play to relax at the end of my day. And at this stage, it frustrates me far more than it relaxes me. Meaning, it's time to move to something else. Last edited by Ashandaar#3743 on May 20, 2022, 12:50:40 AM

" Easy to spot the uninformed opinion of someone who clearly never played harvest or engaged with it to any extent to know what it actually takes to craft BIS gear. Also you want a hard game? Go play SSF HC, that actually exists, what's that? You don't want to? Right, you want a game where you can feel special because most players can't handle it, at least be honest about your motivations man... " 100% agree. I took a very long break from PoE because the direction it was going got to me just like it did to you and I came back to Sentinel league excited to play again. I spent hours updating my personal loot filter thanks to all the changes GGG made to items and I was finallly ready to play. I jumped in and I immediately noticed something was off with the balancing, the game felt like molasses, it was a struggle just wading through the first few areas. Then I took a look at the challenges, a real look at them and evaluated how much time and effort it would take to hit at least the first set of the armor. At this point I realized I had no drive to do any of it and I feel GGG are catching on to the fact their league model is unsustainable as well, because of how much they are pandering to those who participate. Kirak's Vault is a glaring sign of this. Tying unique MTX to Atlas progression so even the 'scrubs' can get something if they just grind long enough is a clear indication that GGG sees that the direction they are taking the game is killing the engagement players have with it. So to end that rant, I logged out of the league and went to standard, where I don't have to start over, where I have most of the resources I need to make and theory craft builds that can engage with all the actually fun parts of the game. ~ I am Wreaclast middle class and proud of it! ~ Poor investment =/= entitlement to compensation. ~ Build smart, build S-mart! When you have little time to play, it's sensible to look for a game that requires less time. There's no reason to write a mini-essay on thousand reasons you can't play poe.

" There is a fine line, it's important players can feel open to vent their frustrations with the game, and it can be insightful into what changes are causing the issues and to what magnitude. But personal attacks and threats are never acceptable. " Generally speaking sure, but if the reason it doesn't work for someone anymore is due to sweeping changes made in a single patch, and 3.18 did a lot to slow down the game and make some once accessible items less so, then there is some valid feedback there. Their response may be a bit of a vent post, but its clear the message was a game they once enjoyed in their downtime is now more frustrating than relaxing. Seems in-line with a lot of other peoples recent feedback, and is something GGG can take into account when making further changes. |

" This is the perfect representation of how stubborn this community is becoming. People's opinions may differ from yours, it is precisely what makes this world worth living in. Sorry if it doesn't fit with North Korean values. And by the way you totally missed my point. I'm not leaving PoE because i have no time to play, i leave PoE because i can get a better use of my playtime. Take Elden ring for example. The game is long if you want to explore it at 100% but you can eventually do it, whatever the amount of playtime you have on a daily basis. Nothing's stopping you in your progression, you'll simply take more time than someone else to achieve it. PoE is structurally a time sink, which is absolutely different.
