" I'm happy for you stepping outside your comfort zone and being successful, genuinely. Congrats. And I don't mean to belittle your personal achievements, but if you're going to try and lord them over people like it makes you a superior player. Maybe save it for something a bit more... impressive? If you want to tell people to get good, it helps if you get there first. There is non-pinnacle content you haven't completed yet, and classes you haven't even played. I'm not saying that makes you a bad player, but clearly there is a lot content you aren't even familiar with let alone good at. " You assume I'm complaining because I couldn't do the content? I wasn't having issues getting through my atlas in-league. I'm looking at the game from the perspective of multiple builds and playstyles, if I based everything on my DD experience, most of the nerfs would have been unneeded. But I recognize that the build was OP, that's why I wanted to try it once before it inevitably got nerfed/fixed next patch. If I enjoyed the league, I would have rolled something else after I got currency. The fact is the Archnemesis changes were not tested very well, they created a lot of problems when interacting with league content. You can see all the tweaks they had to make in hotfixes, not just numerical nerfs, to make them play nicely with each other. Its that roughness I have issues with. This isn't my first rodeo, I've been playing on and off since the game entered Open Beta. Last edited by jerot#5117 on Jun 10, 2022, 11:29:30 PM

" Jerot is obviously a very experienced expert player. His posts are well written very clear, IMHO. My guess is that he knows the game better than both of us put together. Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!

" Uhhhh... spent a bunch of money on the game (supporter packs) But expert?? Plays DD and struggles at the game currently. Think the game is showing just how expert this character is. " Player cant even read someone else's challenges/achievements before commenting. Ive actually done more pinnacle content (3 uber bosses vs 0) than this guy has. /expert player Mash the clean

" Just because one player takes things off-topic, doesn't mean we have to derail the entire thread. Let's not continue to turn this into player vs player drama please, we can share our feedback on the mods themselves, agree or disagree. But this isn't the place for personal attacks. If someone's responses are inappropriate, we can report them and move on without feeding into it. Back to the topic, for those that aren't happy with the current changes, would you rather see an immediate rework in the coming patches, similar to how we dealt with the flask rework. Or would you prefer GGG addressing this down the line, for example saving it as a reworked system for Path of Exile 2, to give it more time in the oven to sort out bugs and inconsistencies? I think introducing it later would have been a much less jarring experience. We would have more tools to deal with highly resistant monsters, and more room for movement tools and defensive skills. A large part of why people are resistant to adapting to the changes was the marketing around the league saying everything from last league would work the same, while new modifiers and higher life/damage numbers made some builds and playstyles struggle significantly more than others. People came in looking for one experience and got something completely different. Part of it too, was how rough late game league content felt on launch. The new modifiers just weren't built to be in every corner of the game. They worked well in Archnemesis, where you could choose to take on harder combinations for greater rewards. Putting them in the base game made the monster variance too high, leagues already had high variance in how they stacked and multiplied with eachother, adding a wider base range made some of that content feel really unpolished. RNG difficulty spikes aren't fun. And the difficult monsters didn't feel nearly as rewarding or worth the extra time it takes to kill them. Last edited by jerot#5117 on Jun 12, 2022, 6:07:15 PM

" My experience with 3.18 has admittedly been with just the same build on 3 different characters. So other players may reasonably have other points of view. Mine is that leveling through the acts is a bit more hassle and slightly less fun but the worst remaining problem to me is that at endgame, especially later endgame like T15 and T16 maps the old league mechanics have been made bad and not fun. That is mechanics like Blight, Delve, and Harvest. I don't know the best way to fix it. I think that is best left up to the developers. (Although I am personally very fond of the thread title idea. :-) ) One thing that I believe they should do is come up with a better more complete test plan. The game at release was a mess. GGG should have known that and fixed that prior to release. The other thing I'll communicate to GGG is that I'm playing Lost Ark now. This is the first time in years that I've played a game other than PoE. Hopefully GGG will finish fixing their game and I'll be able to return to the game I use to love to play. This league feels bad. The AN mods may be the main culprit (the emount of times i have randomly died this league without even noticing i was in danger is way more than ever before.)
I don't mind running into dangerous packs. The big problem is there is no way for me to truely know what is or isn't dangerous by looking at it. Sometimes i run into a blue pack and its super easy. Sometimes i run into a blue pack and its harder than the act boss. Sometimes i just die to a random explosion under my feet. They should remove AN mods or at the very least, DRASTICALLY reduce their spawn rates until they can balance some of the ridiculous mods. Unfortunately, i don't remember all of the mods names by heart. But the one where "lightning men" spawn under your feet when you hit the enemy, and the one where you get corrupted blood reflected onto you when you hit the enemy are some of the most annoying and unfun modifiers. That, and SENTINEL mod is way overused and sitting there beating on enemies who block half your attacks and take 2 minutes to kill is not "fun". |

+1! Please cancel this one. The game should bring pleasure and not pain.
