lvl 96 Champion
1.2 mill Sirus dps
7.5k life
80k eff max hit taken
no lab enchants
no clusters
no influence gear - not even eldritch mods
Fairly simplistic gear, nothing fancy. Essence/Fossil crafting will do.
This will clear everything but it wont be pretty.
i actually made a dreadbeak sst self chill poison build last league and it did about 2 million dps with mostly rags
thats a neat build tho and looks definitely capable of tackling all content

Thx :)
Was thinking about adding Crown of Thorns to get pain attunement for another 300k dps and I guess with clusters plus eldritch mods it should end up dealing some 2 mill dps. Give or take.

you can probably just path to it if you wanna sacrifice some life, but yeah this is easily doing 2 mil with moderate investment

This will clear everything but it wont be pretty.
POE2 should be the ruthless vision experience and POE1 should be the zoom power fantasy sandbox to capture both audiences.
I petition to return all the fun stuff that was removed or nerfed over the years back into POE1.

So?
That wasnt a qualifier before, why is it now?
Besides, if you had to buy a white 6l and Dreadbeak we are talking about 50c investment at most week1 of a league, about 10c if you started this build today.
The rest of the gear can easily be farmed/crafted.
What do you expect to get for this investment?

Rant time.
Lets start with GGG style "balancing". Basically it follows a scenario: something is good, people are using it and feel good, but someone somewhere find an interaction with other thing or just pushes this one thing to extreme. Of course he shits on the game and makes it look toddler level easy. That thing becomes showcased everywhere. GGG catches on. GGG tunes the thing way down or tunes all the things involved way down. Now the guy who abused the thing or mix of things is back to being challenged. The rest who were using but not abusing are left with something unusable. Every build I see on youtubz or poe.ninja are those invest heavily into one thing kind of builds. All of them were also much stronger before. Almost no one is playing anything like simple a spark with just rare gear cause it just doesnt scale. There is some scion with 550k dps out there. Rest playing chaos or cold spark and rocking millions of dps...
Side note about uniques: everyone is using and competing for the same shit from a handful that still work, the remaining hundreds are vendor trash because same balancing shtick happened to them at some point or they have been utterly powercrept out of relevance - numbers on these items to be more precise. The ones still in demand are just the ones that offer some irreplaceable mechanic.
To find something simple that works without shenanigans you have to sift through 90% of this games options that are essentially noobtraps. POE being a game of many many possibilites etc. drivel is a big fat lie. Every build that goes somewhere basically follows the same patterns to I point I find everything fucking boring. Show me a Dreadbeak endgame build or explain to me the reason for its existence...
So the dynamic can be summarized as this:
To just succeed you must abuse.
This implies you must also be good enough to identify what can still be abused at all. Again - there is not going to be many things.
No abuse - you lose.
Would be much better game if you could still succeed without abuse. If the flipside is that abusers are allowed to trivialize the game - let them.
I had more fun when POE was my beer+podcast in the background game when more things worked. I simply refuse to do the same shit that everyone else does, its boring and you have to compete for the same items. 90% of game being a noobtrap is dragging this game down big fucking time.
I agree with this except I believe GGG does it on purpose. To keep people interested they nerf popular builds after a few leagues, while buffing other things and creating the next meta builds. The noobtraps are really just mostly nerfed to oblivion items that someday might get a big buff as the cycle continues.
Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!

90% of the game being a noobtrap is a hilariously harsh but true description tbh +1 Orbaal
I miss being able to be versatile in what builds I ran, I might play SC next league so I get it back tbh but its like trading satisfaction for freedom i'm not sure its a good swap.

It's probably more like 99.9% of the game is a noob-trap. The other 0.1% is the powerful setups and gears that require specific pathing.

I want it to scale with investment. But at a glance this builds celeing is not much higher than its floor.
Oh and a dreadbeak is outperformed by 2 mod wand on that build so how is it a dreadbeak build?

It feels like everything is a maze. Not just the maps, but the maps, the passive tree, the atlas passive tree, the gear selection, the class selection, and even the trinket selection.
Every single thing leads to an entirely new universe ahead of you, whether it be a simplistic outcome, or running yourself into a spike trap of death over and over.
You can choose all the easy paths. Find the shortcuts. Read ten thousand lines about what everything does and how it responds to each other. Watch a thousand videos about farming, gear, builds, atlases, trinkets, and every single thing you can imagine.
You will still face all of these end game obstacles in one form or another.
Some say pick the easiest path. Some choose to take a harder path. Some take impossible paths and not know it due to the mechanics. There is no road signs. No "you were killed by," notifications. No deafening screeches before the bosses slam their attacks. No fenceposts telling you that there's likely better routes to take with your gear.
Every single extra thing has been created by fans to aid in a game that is cruel, ruthless, and unforgiving.
