Should 5Way Hosts be Getting All Timeless Jewels?

You're paying for the experience, not the jewels.

You want the jewels, buy the jewels.
"you pay you get loot" is a major selling point for some hosts. Can you explain why the jewels specifically should be different than any other loot? Why should customers be able to get a random raw exalt drop but not a jewel? It makes no sense.

Currently they do. It might make sense if the cost of getting into a group was 50c or something, but in a world where everyone is paying 1.5-2.5ex every 5 runs I don't see why the jewels shouldn't be random like any other loot. Thoughts?

So, you're saying it's not worth 1.5-2.5ex? Maybe don't pay.

5 ways are already very nearly an exploit for XP and loot; both should be nerfed hard.
ggg dont set the price people pay for entering other peoples content. the drops are set correctly for giving people confidence to play in groups. if the price is wrong then take it up with the people setting the price.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

It is worth it but could be improved. Welcome to general discussion where things are discussed.

For barely over half an exalt per set. 1 customer alone pays for the cost of emblems.

Of course they do. At a minimum HH is mandatory, but just think about how much they are making for 5 seconds... even hundreds of exalts worth of gear is paid off in a matter of days then it's pure profit.

and kills everything way faster than the rest of the group who sits there afk
Not entirely accurate. Without a good resetter the host isn't nearly as efficient. We're talking a difference of like 2% xp at level 99 which is huge.

Host your own and see how well it goes compared to theirs.
Moronic argument. Of course it wouldn't work because my build is not a HH speed clearer. My point was never that customers deserve a shot at jewels because they're just as capable of clearing the content as the host, but because they are already paying an absurd amount.

Great arguments. You changed all of our minds about this subject.
Never offered a service. Never done a service. Never done a rota. Can't relate. But let me ask the moral police real quick.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
let me guess you were kicked from a group for arguing with the host about this and now you came here to do the same?
I don't get the fuss about it. Basically your argument is "for the amount of money you should be able to get the jewels too".

As others said, you don't pay for jewels, you pay for the exp since it's by far the best way to get exp.

If you are unhappy as a customer with the price, don't pay it - there are other ways of leveling, including not dying. I have never ever payed for 5ways on my first char and got to 98 at least once, which is already only 2% off of max+level.

If you think those hosts are way too profitable then set up a character yourself to compete on the market. But I don't know why one would change the entire characteristics of allocated drops - those changes are quite new and I for one are happy as this prevents scamming in other encounters. For example, I am doing uber elder completion services right now so people get their last watchstone. Quite nice additional currency, but I'd be very pissed if people were able to steal watchers eyes.

So the allocation of content-specific drops is actually a good thing.

Why would I blame the hosts? It's not something they choose.

isnt it though? each host can set up their service however they want. just like each boss killer is different and charges differently. if you dont like one service go to the next guy.
