Titles and Achievements

Regarding achievements, I would like to see something like Tome of knowledge from Warhammer: age of reckoning in this game. With all the lore, info about areas, stories, random pieces of information you'll find, quest tracking etc. Achievements in there were called "unlocks" so why not.. Each cathegory have a certain amount of hidden "unlocks" listed as ............. ? so that it will make you wonder what do you need to do to get that achievement.
I loved the Tome of Knowledge, and I could definitely see something like that in Path of Exile. But like Arvesisu said, we should not have the achivement unlocks thrown in our faces. We should simply get a small message saying "Achivement unlocked" and it's name, and preferably in a small note on the bottom of the screen. Plus, we should be able to switch off the notes entirely if we prefer.

Though personally, I wouldn't mind if a monkey ran up to me and handed me a letter with my new achivement unlock. But that's just me.

I don't really want achievements but I wouldn't mind a stats page to show info about my character.
How many monsters they've killed, number of deaths, most powerful enemy killed, etc.

I am ok with this, but otherwise no.

Achevements are a good ideia. the question is that if gonna affect your char or is just for fun and show of to players (if thats possible since and dont know if you can see the players stats, equipments, etc).

A list of how many zombies you killed and all others, then other players be captable to see would be very nice. Aswell be captable to see your achievements.

An ideia of a growing achivement (simpler ones) is like, 50 zombies killed, unblocked "zombies destoyer I", then 120 zombies "zombies destoyer II"...etc
They are generally fun to have quirky odd ways to defeat bosses, I didn't mind them and titles, though titles bothered me when they gave stats.

But a mixture of the two is common in MMO's of today, pointless yet, but popular non-less.

Who doesn't love finally getting the,

1,000,000 monsters killed. Then getting some relevant title to your achievement.
I had an end-game suggestion of building a house... don't suppose anyone else played Puzzle Pirates? This would be a great tie-in for something like:

- Achievement reached: killed 5000 skeletons
- Acheivement prize: 1 skeleton skull

Which you then display in your house as a decoration.
Again mostly all polish, things like that comes years down the road.

Given the type of community, I don't see houses coming anytime soon.
The Achievements themselves could come first and then one day if there is a "house" feature added years down the line, the achievements can be displayed via trophies a la Dungeon Defenders.
That wouldn't work, sorry. Imagine if you first got three dozen achivements, and then one day all of them appear as trophies in your house all at once. Now we're talking "what the f... did I do last night?" kinda moment. :D
