Effects Feedback Thread (Spells ,Waterfalls ,Falling leaves ect.)

I don't know if it is in the beta since I am a new beta member, are there winds with flying dust and leaves?

Yes there is something like this.
Dunno about dust (but is cool idea because there are some desert style areas in game... or maybe beaches.. something with lot of sand:) ) but i definitely saw some leaves falling from trees in act 2 outdoor areas.

All eviromental effects al;ready ingame looks very good btw. Kudos for creator and artists overall. :)

You will see the new effects in The Ledge that Russell has been working on in 0.9.3! Hopefully we can have more environmental effects like this in the future, as they look nice from the top-down perspective.

Hey guys

don`t really know if this has already been pointed out, but I noticed a few things:

- When it`s raining over water, be it seawater or water from rivers or streams, there should be an effect of the rain water touching the river/sea water, splashing and such.

- When you walk over the sand on beach areas and such, you left no footprints, no marks over the sand/ground.

- When moving inside water or over it there`s no effect of the movements in the water, no splashing, no water trail and such.

sory for my english, just trying to contribute
Thank you, Pleasurebug.

I love all the bugs, insects, flies, ants, little fishes,... that swarm some areas. It's a very nice touch !

And all that glittering golds in Merveil's cave ! Man, it's treasure-porn to my eyes :)
I think I should mention "Split Arrow" and its green-line "trail" effect each arrow leaves. It's ok, but my problem with it is the start of the "trail". These three crossing lines seem so weird - http://i56.tinypic.com/vko5i.jpg

Instead, I think it should be something like this - http://i56.tinypic.com/25ggvw0.jpg

I like this one the most - http://i51.tinypic.com/wtg4cx.jpg

If you read the start of the thread it says we dont have proper trails yet . Thats why that happens : P

I know it looks horrible

No, I read it and I thought I got it, but I guess I didn't really. You just used whatever you could to make the skills into the game, sorry. I thought that when you add "proper trails" you're just gonna modify current effects or whatever.

I apologize if this has been covered but I don't have the time currently to read the entire thread and I don't want to forget to post this.

Please implement some form of dynamic lighting on spell effects. I would love enemy fireballs or my flaming arrows to create light while traveling down a dark hallway. Not only would this look great, but it would help illuminate mobs that are hidden in complete darkness who are shooting at you.
