So does is allow a 5th ascendancy spec or just allow you to spec a fourth one into a different tree of the same specie. thanks

It allows you to get one of the other two Ascendancies of your class.
As a Pathfinder you can get one from Raider or Deadeye, as Champion you can get one from Slayer or Gladiator and so on. |

What we've heard so far is that it allows a 5th ascendancy point of any of your base-class added to you via the jewel.
That means that as for example a raider you will be able to get a 5th raider ascendancy, or one Pathfinder ascendancy, or one Deadeye ascendancy. This jewel is design-wise completely insane as it potentially opens up a lot of customization. I think it's hilarious that people straight went into all the dmg variants but completely forgot about the unseen power in terms of defenses this can give. Imagine time of need or Bastion of hope on Inquisitor. Imagine Valako on an endurance charge stacking juggernaut Imagine Unstoppable/Unbreakeable on Berserker Imagine Fortitude on a bleed bow Gladiator Like, this thing is such a metashift 😂 |

While im exited to know these jewels exist, i will never get my hands on one. And im kind of okay with that.
Still a Golem Necro with one of the Elementalist Golem nodes and getting Inquisitors Ele-Res-Ignore on crit as a Hierophant .. atleast i can dream. |

" well, plan for off meta stuff for cheap ones. any damage nodes on these jewel= expensive, but maybe you can get some deff/utility instead, and drop some deff on gear and tree, and still get a lot out of it? Unknown rule type: SetFondSize

Looks like an Ascendant lite jewel for any non-scion class, allowing similar flexibility.

It doesn't override pre-reqs... so non of the ones that require previous ones will be accessible. Only "basic" ones. But I agree that this is totally stupid OP. Why do they do this?

release something broken/stupid op and then complain erp durp game too fast, erp derp power creep, erp derp nerfs after the players get used to it and invested time on their builds.
Lots of op stuff that will get nerfed or lead to a deeper nerf on skills/classes cause of it. Soon the game will be balanced around having a mageblood, squire, these jewels and whatever op stuff they will release. Need defences? get a mageblood. Need damage? get a mageblood/squire. Don't have it? well have fun on blood aqueduct farm. |
