I just leave this here... omniscience guess

" That doesn't answer any questions about the third mod or the actual function of Omniscience as a whole. It refers strictly to how Omniscience works vs Modifiers to Attributes. We're discussing Attribute Requirements, the order of wording on the last mod, etc. Modifiers vs Base was already a given. There are no Base outside the base attributes. Something else worth asking: Is 1% Increased Damage per Int/Dex etc considered a modifier to Attributes, or just a modifier to damage? My bet is it's not, so running % damage stacking builds with this will be no go. Last edited by rekikyo#7718 on Jan 22, 2022, 1:38:19 AM

Edit: turns out I may have missunderstood. It seems that it also drains atributes from tree and imho it's x% of the attribute value needed as omniscience to equip.
So imho what I understood: 1) instead of getting attributes you get 1 time omnicience par attribute affixe(all atributes count for 1 attribute) on gear. The amulet gives 12 omniscience 2) you still get attributes from passives, probably clusters as well and have your base attributes as well 3) if you can't wear something due to no attributes, hey you can still reserve x%(I think the range is probably variable) omniscience to wear it. Meaning that using this amulet allows you to wear 4 items that you could not otherwise skipping stats on your tree as much as possible etc, mb going out of your way dodging stats nodes, using intuitive leaps, thread of hopes even more... Uses for this amulet: use 1: sacrifice your amulet slot to avoid gear requirements issues use 2: try to stack stats on gear in a smart way. However the oportunity cost is imho very high with what we currently have in the game. You may be able to sacrifice omnicience to get more in some cases but not sure. The item looks interesting but I really don't see how and why. Maybe the item has a wide affix range and is scuffed on the showcase. Maybe it can be "for 5-10 omnicience", I would say it can be decent at 5. Last edited by galuf#4435 on Jan 22, 2022, 2:53:56 AM

" aggromagnet literally contradicts #2 in his reddit response. You don't gain bonus Attributes at all. 3)Omniscience for the purpose of equipping becomes your attributes. The question is how it works. 4) Same as 2. It converts to boosting Omniscience. |

" Yes I noticed rereading the thread, already edited my post. It's a sick mechanic tbh... I think you need x% of the attribute as omnicience. I was thinking about skill gems for instance. In terms of attribute requirements it's fair tho. Also I don't think the attributes are added with each other, you'll need the max of both attributes as omnicience if wearing hybrid gear or slotting hybrid gems, I don't think why it would add up. However I'm very curious to see how builds would behave without stats, like even casting spells without int seems complicated. You'd need like flat mana regen on rings or something xd, all the attributes give quite some benefits at the end of the day, we get them passively so we do not really care, but remove your strengh on a life build and see how your hp pool does and it's even worse for ES builds. " Depends tbh. It sabotages Attribute stacking damage, and also sabotages all forms of EHP. If it works as straightforward as people think it does, it's too easy and too powerful. I can easily get about 2300-3000 stats. Which is upwards of 300% Ele res and penetration by itself. I don't believe that GGG would EVER intentionally design that, especially since with Armors like Doryani's and Admiral's that is essentially quadrupling damage before even considering crit or crit multi and AS etc. That's more broken than Scourge Doryani. Furthermore, it works perfectly with the new Unique Jewel. Corrupt Necklace for +1% all, get a +3 max res Perepeteia or some shield with +3-5 max res of a type, +1 Armor, and a single Purity skill, and you can easily 90% max all res without considering ele flasks in that equation or Immortal Call. There has to be a catch. |

The catch is you don't benefit at all from attribute stacking, I'd say...
I'm theorycrafting an Inquisitor STR-stacking and I get insane benefits from str: Replica Alberon, Iron fortress, Helmet with warlord's mod "accuracy equal to your STR", Iron will + battlemage cry, Inqui ascendancy for crit chance. Switching to Omniscience would give me 300+ penetration... and 99% less damage, -2k eHP at least, no block chance. My guess is Omniscience would more easily fit in regular (non-stacking) builds, by just replacing 1-2 items, such as helmet, and/or some mods, to hit ~900 to 1k Omniscience so you can gear whatever you need. Further investment would have heavy diminishing return imho. However, I'm afraid it would be too easy to fit Omniscience in pretty much any Ele build without that much investment, and that the amulet becomes an absolute BiS for them. 23% omniscience seem still too much, as 900 Omniscience is enough to cover all regular gear, and is so easy to obtain, with like just pathing in tree, Black Sun Crest and 1-2 suffixes. |

The main catch is you are gaining no benefits from attributes, because you will basically have none. If you're a Marauder, for example, you will never have more (or less) than 32/14/14 str/int/dex. Anything that would add to, increase, reduce, or modify them in any way will apply to Omniscience instead.
No +life/melee phys from all the str you lose. No +accuracy/eva from dex. No +mana/es from int. No % increased damage per X attribute. No added damage per X attribute. No accuracy stacking from str. Etc. It's a really big catch in the long term that may not seem like much at a glance. And while something like 300% pen is a lot, it's not as much as it seems considering all you're going to be sacrificing for it. It's also very, very deep into diminishing returns on its effectiveness. If it turns out to be too much and players do find interactions to really exploit it, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them add a cap to resistance pen just as they did for reducing resists. For all we know, that may already preemptively happen in the patch anyway but we don't have notes yet. That's also rich and/or experienced player problems though. Your more average, inexperienced player is likely going to struggle to even break through 1000 Omniscience (if they even have access to the amulet, which we don't know where/how it drops yet). I have a pretty good sense of humor. I'm not German. Last edited by aggromagnet#5565 on Jan 22, 2022, 4:00:45 AM

" 300% Ele Penetration far more than makes up for not stacking. A Discharge build will literally 1 shot 120 mil dps with this amulet. That doesn't include exposure, ele reduction from curses, or damage enhancing ailments, crit/crit multi. You don't need to lose 2k EHP to use this. Your representation of -99% damage is flawed in that damage has a curving cap at around 900%, and the fact that on a lot of skills, base, and added damage matter more to dps than % increased. 99% isn't a true 99%. You also didnt address the fact that the other unique literally couples with this for a pure 2 item max 90% res if you have 1 res there, and overcaps so much that elemental weakness will never lower your res. It also couples with gems like Anatomical Knowledge, the Atzoatl gems (you can turn all three into something that benefits all of the above for all attributes, and turn all stats into Life) One of the reasons my Tempest Shield build isn't viable this league is that it's in a Crest of Desire. What do you think happens when a 11-12 chain Anomalous Tempest shield gains 300% lightning pen, when it already does about 400k dps (that hits each target about 14 times a second)? It will literally annihilate all content but 2 bosses without even having an offensive skill. Phys to Lightning Hydrosphere becomes a 8k Million DPS powerhouse on a support skill. Shock does a 160% Shock effect cap all the time. There's no way this is not broken if we aren't missing something. |

" It's almost definitely not counted. You don't have int or dex with this thing, only Omniscience. None of the typical attribute-based damage stacking uniques or rare mods will work with this. Rather this thing creates an entirely new build type - that wants to stack attributes but also wants to stack flat damage. Or, you know, just play Ele Hit or something and have the flat damage built-in. As if Ele Hit needed more help...-_- Last edited by Exile009#1139 on Jan 22, 2022, 5:30:54 AM
