3.17 Nerf prediction thread
We are nearing us towards the interesting part of the patch cycle.
My predicitons: - Massive Cast on Crit nerfs. It performs way too strong compared to self-cast. - Divergent Boneshatter wont provide extra attack speed anymore - Shade Form cooldown will start after its effect ended - Self Temp Chains wont stretch effect duration when reflected on players anymore - Strength of Blood will be capped at 90% dmg reduction and life recovery mod wont count for Strength of Blood anymore - Accuracy Stacking Node from Juggernaut will be nerfed - Getting armour/evasion will be changed in some way its waaaaaay too easy now to stack it with flasks and auras instead of actual gear. - Molten Shell will be gutted or all other guard skills buffed up but probably ends up in just Molten Shell guttening - Flat Added Damage effectivity will probably drop on gems because its way smarter and more dps nowadays to stack flat added damage instead of using a proper rare weapon with high pdps rolls. - Probably further aura stack effect nerfs its still too crazy - March of the Legion will be made more clunky to use or only allow 2 or 3 auras. - Soul Cost reductions capped at 90% to prevent abuse - Spell Suppression reduction goes down to 35%. " Funny thing is most of the things they will prob nerf are things that they buffed a couple leagues ago and others that have this cycle of buff and nerf since well the begining (coc... nerf, nerf, useless, buff, buff, now nerf again). So like I always say, they don't balance the game, they dont even try. All they do is meta shift to control the sheep. Look the squire and poe 2 where links are completely diferent being on gems. So they released an new item knowing they will have to rebalance in the future. Change for change is something I rly hate but I think the creativity/will is gone here so this is all they have to offer. |

" There have been a lot of people that play the game like a second job complaining that the meta doesn't shift every league so that's likely why GGG has taken the approach to just buff random skills significantly and nerf everything that was decent in the current league. This also has the added benefit of making balancing the game a lot easier. They only have to balance 5 super buffed meta skills instead of 100. However it basically means that everyone has to play the meta skills unless you have hundreds of exalts to burn on bringing mediocre skills into viable territory. I personally don't want any defenses nerfed. For once I feel like I actually have ways to mitigate damage. I don't feel like it's overpowered to be able to actually survive a map instead of dying every 10 minutes. Fix some of the unintended effects, but stop with the endless nerfs. Make other skills better instead of constantly nerfing everything. |

-Whatever skill/mechanic, that is too comfortable from QoL perspective, will be broken into two clumsy mechanics for no reason.

Anything that's good will be deleted as usual. I think gladiator and occultist explode might get nerfed too because they outright carry subpar builds.
Hopefully the new content offers meaningful buffs. I don't play this game to feel weak. If I hit 50ex+ in gear I want to be blasting. |

Why do you people think anything needs to be nerfed?? It's useful, there for too good??
The game is already boring. They reached their goal of making players weak as paper unless they invest dozens of exalts, why do you want it even worse. The game is in bad shape and you want to keep going over the edge... |
