SSF is so much better than trade league. It would be nice if we could play ssf with others (no trade or shared drops).

Its only downside.

I prefer to find my own items and get excited on drops, trade league is pretty zzz for that since everyone has the same gear

are the drops better in story mode? this just feels bad, meanwhile one streamer i watched dropped an exalt and 2 quicksilvers before lvl 30

Drops should be the same, i dont think there is smart loot.

I got an exault in delve around lvl 44. Which is super lucky seeing as i had around 5 jews and 3 fuses at the time. Currency doesnt drop in mine alot until you get deep

Thats another great thing about ssf is that you use your currency, not trade it away.

My exault got me +5 energy sheild on an amulet i no longer use, no regrets :)

i just tired it for the first time for the delve event and it feels bad...having to constantly pick up and ID rares just to fix resistances...at lvl 81 i still dont have any of them at 75%....

Ive had amazing luck with rings, they take care of my resists. My lowest is cold resist and its at 111
Mainly because no AH is why I play it. Don't like dealing with people. Been here 7 years and no clan or whatever its called and had tons of invites. Bring in AH where I dont have to deal with ppl and I'll trade.

Second reason - I used to trade a lot until I feel like Gen 3 made it possible to get to end game SSF. We used to have to exalt maps to sustain maps - trade was basically mandatory. Now it's not. Game is 100x easier now with all the loot pinatas.

Because it's fun for them.

but why? thats what i;m trying to understand. at lvl 81 i still havent had any unique drops that i can make a build around. i havent had any significant currency drops. i cant fix any of my resistances. i cant get my socket colors right etc

All of those are what makes playing SSF interesting. In trade if you're missing a resistance, you simply go and buy something to patch the hole. To me, that's really uninspiring and a really dull way to play. In SSF potentially every drop could provide something useful/missing or maybe just be kept for a later character.

The most important thing you need to do is stop playing the event like you have access to trade.

"why do ppl play SSF?"

Because trade league = currency farming and it's boring.

SSF on the other hand is about finding various loot and adapting your build to utilize that loot, it's kinda a challenge where you can put to use your skills and your vast knowledge of the game.
No SSF is not fun, HCSSF is. Play it until LV100 is most satisfied
SSF is far more enjoyable when playing normally. There are more options, you play the game as you wish dependent on your character... you farm div cards that could give you a piece of gear, you farm harvest, etc etc...

Delving is not a true representation of what normal SSF is.

Yeah agree, Endless Delve isn't normal SSF. Want to experience true SSF - play SSF league.
Had plenty quicksilvers drop. Check your item filter.

SSF is fun. That's why people play it.
You no longer find the game as another job, or "currency per hour".
you are playing in a voided fun league, you dont have any acces to any real crafting at all, for example the crafting bench. there is also beastcrafting to get decent utility flasks already at act 2.
from how i read it, and that is only speculation, you propably also dont even use your crafting currency like alt regal alch chaos to get better items.
you also said you havent found a quicksilver yet, while i find it most unlikely that you dont have one with 81 yet, i want to mentionen that your lootfilter might be to strict, saying this because flasks drop as much as candy when you have a low item filter.

haveing said all of this, the reason i play SSF is firstly because i have a job nowadays and i realised fairly quick that if you cant keep up with the currency game you dont get anything, especialy in league start, so i told myself why waste time just grinding and picking gear up to id/craft it when i can do the same in SSF without the pressure of missing currency so i swaped and i feel that it was the right move for myself. except for maven, the feared and the new uber content i have beaten everything sofar with a RF Inquisitor with less than 500k dps wich itself already is a reward in its own way and fun to acomplish something without the help of buying.

i also realised that i do alot more content in general to get gear, while in trade you just skip league mechanics depending on what is profitable and what is not, you take completly different atlas passives compared to trade aswell because you have to take care of yourself and your needs and not trying to make the most profit.

i think in general most true ssf players feel the same when i say, we play ssf because we dont want to miss out on content.
