why (in my opinion) the game feels bad
hey i know GGG probably never gonna sit and read my post or any actual feedback other than telling them how great their game is.. but i still gonna leave an honest feedback here of why in my opinion the game doesnt really feel good right now pls everyone may or may not agree or have different reasons but these are the things that bothers me as a semi casual player
1: most of the skills/builds are actually not good enough anymore to do the normal and expected content of the game.. back then while PoE was always complicated you could chose skill by what you want to play and not by the 1st demand right now " can it clear the content?" which narrow the choice of skills to basically 5-10% .. i feel like im being forced into playing skills that are not fun to me.. that i have been playing over and over if i want to be able to clear basic content.. i understand the need to fight power creep and these 100mil dps players but nerfing the support gems did not do that.. the only thing you nerfed with support gems are the avrage players who already struggle to get enough dps to clear the content. . the rich power creep guys will get enough dps even on 4 links but not us.. if you want to fight powercreep nerf stupid items and not gems that are available for free to everyone... 2: the drop of items and currency is just bad.. in the last 4 years i dont think ive ever picked up an item from the ground and felt like damn thats such a good item.. infact most people already filter 100% of rare items and only loot crafting bases .. this is honestly boring and theres just no gear progression.. it feels like.. play on 1c items that you buy early for life and resist. maybe 1 20c build enable unique and then farm mindlessly on a farm build untill you have 9999999999999999999999999999999 exalted orbs to buy items you need.. also prices are stupid due to these magic find builds and parties that farm mirros in the time we farm 10c 3: everything about the game feels clunky and complicated for no reason.. while all games working hard to give quality of life POE has gone the oppsite direction by taking more and more of the quality of life we had.. ill never be able to understand why we need 999999 crafting systems that each of them is deeper and more complicated than the bible.. not to mention their info is not even written in game or shown in game.. you have to search online for hours and hours and hours to even get to know they exist and then what mods they have and hten now to use.. even atlas is same story too much hideden info and everything is sooo punishing.. you do maven on atlas and open atlas passives you make mistakes but by the time you find out you made mistakes you are still 2 months away from getting enough refund points (that is if your build is good enough to carry on) id appreciate game that explain things better inside the game and doesnt make everything over complicated for no reason.. itms in last epoch work rougthly the same yet their crafting so friendly and poe meh.. 4: trade.. this game relay so much on trading and yet the trading here is simply awful.. you waste hours every week just to try trade .. 5: the leagues and speed meta.. you mentioned in live streams how you want to fighht this speed meta and excused the nerfing of gems with it.. but in reality in the current state of the game.. if you dont wipe 3 screens away in 1 click and you dont have 200% movement speed the game feels trash and your build basically dont work.. if you dont offscreen then scourge will insta kill you.. if you dont have 4+mil dps goodluck doing enedgame.. nerfing players damage is 1 thing but you also need to make sure avrage players with normal items and most skills can get enough damage that you require in clearing stuff in game.. all in all i have been playing PoE for many years and ive been kindly supporting this game and your work out of faith that even tho things dont always come right that you are trying your best to do the best for the game.. but i no longer see it that way.. i now think that you are targeting a very specific range of players . and let me tell you this GGG .. if you design a game for 1% of gamers dont be surprise that you are left with very little players even if each of these will give you 10k a month it will never keep the game standing.. it is completely ok to say "this game isnt for everyone" but then in its current state i feel like this game is not nearly for anyone anymore.. i personally want to play a game and not feel like this is my second job and feel like im doing double work shifts.. you should try to play your own game. see what it require from players.. see how long it takes to clear content (on solo) i will take a look at the next update to see the changes to endgame and to see the direction you chose.. but as the game right now.. this game is just isnt for me anymore.. and im taking my leave from PoE. for now. If we can't save the world Chris, could we at least have some cool items that Scourge was supposed to generate? I for one am getting to about the 1/2-way mark on completely filling up about 5-6 quad tabs worth of Scourge trash (either through items naturally dropping or by the outcomes from the krangler):

also everything feels like "must" and there are far too many things to deal with..
immue to freeze = must immue to bleed = must immue to corropted blood = must immue to shock = must immue to ignite on some builds must immue to poison some builds phasing? must movement speed must it feels very clunky |

" I disagree - in parts. I think 3.15 sounded worse than it eventually was. My builds for the most part survived that league almost unharmed. I actually think 3.16 ruined the game for now as some essential mechanics were changed. Many, many builds rely on these and the changes crippled them severely: * attack + spell block (especially in the champion's ascendency) * totem life * fortify to name but three. I agree with the original poster: The average Joe lost touch with the endgame. I cannot enter the endgame if I earn 5% XP per hour, yet die twice in the same span if time. This way, there is no chance to get anywhere beyond level 92. And this is plain and simple just not fair. Do or do not. There is no try.
