POE just had it's 3rd biggest launch EVER! This forum be like "game is ded".

This forum is hilarious.

Literally, EVERY LEAGUE without fail this forum is swarmed with "game is ded", "GGG don't know what they're doing", "goodbye threads".

The reality is that POE just had it's 3rd largest league launch in its history... And that was WITHOUT any new end game content added.

The game continues to thrive.

Sure, have your opinion that you don't like how things get nerfed, but that's POE and it has happened every league without fail for 8 years.

The good news is, GGG won't listen to you AND they will continue to thrive and smash 200,000 concurrent players soon (steam alone).

So complain all you want, but you're missing reality and it won't make a difference.

This game is a BEAST that will only continue to thrive, regardless of what you might say or think.

The people that are unhappy need a place to vent, and this is the natural place to do it. The people that are playing the game, are playing the game. And then there is the rest of us, who come here for god knows what reason like me.

I'm still enjoying the game and still come to the forum some times. The best advice to give to anyone that is new is to never come here :)
Thanks for all the fish!
Launch numbers are not the same as revenue numbers. People stopped spending money in 3.15 because of nerfs. In 3.16 we got more nerfs...

At least not during the first 2 weeks of a league launch.. it's always filled with complaints, hehe.
There seems to be a faction that has it out for GGG. Dunno why.

while this is true, im kind of starting to understand those people. mostly because i have stopped playing the game.
i also stopped logging into these forums, except for just now, to write this.

you need to understand that they're writing from a subjective point of view. not objective.
the game IS dead...for me
i don't believe GGG does know what they're doing, anymore, with their game/vision.
goodbye threads are their own thing.

personally i couldn't care less how many people are playing PoE. i only care if im playing it or not. the game has gone in a direction, and my life has gone in a direction, where i don't see myself playing this game ever again.
that doesn't mean i want GGG or PoE to fail, nor do i have it out for them, but i could rant on for miles about what i think they've done wrong over the years in order to get to this point, and that would probably bring the attention that im just trolling or have a vendetta against GGG or something. nothing could be farther from the truth. i LOVE(d) this game. played since open beta and i have 12,000+ hours into this game.

none of it matters and i know nothing i say will change anything. the only thing that matters is...am i playing the game or not
and from now on, i am not.
Even though this is by far the worst league mechanic of any league I've played since I started in delve the QoL improvements to stacking and atlas zones are very nice.

GGG has zero competition so they can continue releasing bad leagues and it won't really matter. Where are people going to go if they want a game with an economy like PoE but not an MMO? Nowhere.
because launch numbers is all about marketing.. while retention numbers is all about long term success (and having a good, fun product). that is why big launch numbers followed by massive drop offs in players is a sign of bad things in the long run.

The people complaining don't hate GGG or PoE. People who really dislike the game just uninstall.

People complaining are frustrated that GGG management has a very scattered, back and forth vision for the game. They say one thing then implement the opposite, they say they recognize speed without even really looking at the screen is a problem, but then they force that to be the only way to survive, etc.

But what is wrong with complaining? I disagree with Shags that complaining, pointing out problems is "having it out for the game".

Is this the cheerleading-only forums? Is GGG so fragile they need their ego stroked for every comment?

When people are happy, they play the game and buy merchandise, when they are unhappy they post here. And when they are sick of it, they do neither.

Peaks and troughs are the nature of the game.

Overall, look at the long term trend and it is clear it is rising nicely.

"Bad things of signs to come" is what people have been saying every league launch for 8 years. Charts say otherwise.
