group play vs solo play rewards have gotten out of hand

And at the end of leagues the wealthiest players are still the solo ones lol. Party play is indeed strong, but you still have to split wealth 6-7 ways and if you figure out a strat how to play the market as a solo one you'll be making a killing. Organised MF party playing is also insanely boring because every map takes lots of preparation, time to clear and even more time to loot.

Keep in mind I'm a SSF player so I'm not biased to preserve party play.
HC balance should be separate from SC I don't care which outdated 1993 game dev philosophy this goes against. youtube/twitch.tv/DESPAIR268

REVERT SUNDER :) REVERT SEISMIC CRY :) REVERT IMPALER :) REVERT GAME :)) MAKE DUALWIELD GREAT AGAIN :)

Best comment ever :D

btw why are people always complaining that they don't drop exalts? I dropped 0 exalts this league so far and still managed to make ~20 playing solo. People usually don't get 100s of ex from raw drops

Because it causes massive inflation

The item quantity bonuses for group play are far too generous for those who have an organized group with a dedicated 'last-hitter', we all know that. However, how do you strike a moderate balance between the less efficient and most efficient without hurting the less efficient more?

We've seen this play out before with the most recent nerfs, which disproportionately hurt low end players while barely affecting high end players who (in the majority of cases) always play meta builds.

I think diminishing returns for IQ/IR that really starts to hit when you get to 4-5 players seems like a good theoretical solution.
Just no, party play is fine and if ANYTHING party play needs some LOVE not hate.

i don't see why the quantities don't just multiply by the number in the party.

they just encourage the small percentage of players that can and will dictate parts of the economy
poe is going down fast. Diablo 4 and Baldur's Gate 3 have no performance issues. play them instead

The fact that neither of those have ever gotten a reply from anybody at GGG is an answer to all your questions.
Sitting in HO spamming alts for 4 hours straight is peak PoE gameplay. Thanks, Chris.

It's been years since they responded to anything in the forums, except the mods that slap people in line from time to time.

I agree with the OP of this topic. I'm not against party play, but basically 99.9% of the time I just play this game solo. Also the only issue I see with the big drops in parties is the impact this bight cause on the trade market.

That being said, I do not braim GGG for not replying to any of these topics. What would you expect to happen?
If they say they agree, people expect them to "fix" it next league. People will start to reply angry when they don't agree, and if they don't fix it, people will post angry that it hasn't been fixed.
Same happens if they state about it bering just fine as it is.
So they can only post something like the typical "we hear you; we discuss it with the dev team" and ofc they people will be mad again as they is no real response.

So I hope and guess they do read most stuff here, but that's why they never really respond to anything here, which makes sense in my perception.
party bonus is good!

its so good that people invite others too leech for the sake of more drops (no pickup allowed).

as someone who almost exclusively plays solo, i really hate that playing party is so good.

i remember 1-2 separate instances where i partied up with a friend for map clear bonus.

he dropped an ex

in another i dropped an ex

back to solo it took me so long to drop an ex. could have been pure rng but hell it feels like party play really is good.

monster hp balloon up?

so what, one person could be an aura stacker, another could be a curser. that actually negates a lot of downsides.

the biggest buff to game play is that the player is not solely targeted by everything all the time

You say they invite people but its more like they abuse people who aren't good at the game... These types of people are the ones you see bragging about having their challenges done early and having headhunters etc but god forbid that new player picks up some currency :)

This type of mentality is killing the game, I'm sad GGG does not stop it via banning these asshats.
