Most QoL is overdue several years and was rightfully requested/suggested by players LONG time ago

The most important QoL features are (still) coming from PoE-Fans (pathofbuilding, poeninja, tft, exilence, craft of exile... and so on and so on...

the trade website GGGT implemented also came way too late but fortunately for many years fans had created poe.trade.


GGGT are the absolute worst in terms of QoL - based on my 10 years experience with them.

GGGT fucked up the premium stash tab again (been an issue for many years now).

GGGT added new currency again without providing slots in premium tabs.

Melee is terrible still/again...who knows...

I could go on and on...

I like PoE, don't get me wrong. The game's foundation is so solid that it could - at least for me - carry all the shit and lack of QoL they have been piling up on it in the past 5-6 years. But they sure as hell are piling up a lot of shit.
So many flaws I don't even know where to start;

1) I don't know of ANY game that has proprietary ownership of its game guides these days. It's always done by fans who are dedicated to enriching the game for players who don't want to do the work and figure things out. I even know games where even the players don't make guides, because doing so affects their ability to control content, or win.

2) There's some HUGE in game QoL with Scourge: Influence mods were streamlined, making it FAR easier to craft gear. All undesired mods were moved to scourge implicit to reduce RNG and make crafting more deterministic.

I can give you examples:

Atm I have 3 rings that are queued to finish purely by rerolling common Prefixes, or suffixes.

HoT Level 22
+3 Gem Level
T1 Mana on Kill
T1 Life on Spell Hit

HoT Level 22
40% Reduced Effect of Curses on You
+1 Min Frenzy/3% Frenzy on kill

+3 Gem Level
Life Gained on Spell Hit
Adds Lightning Damage on Spell Hit
Level 22 HoT

All three through basic crafting that was deterministic, and only 2-3 steps to go to completed rings.

I also have a Shield that is guaranteed to be uber, that is also deterministic because of the changes:

ES Shield with:
T1 Life
T0 Totopante's Lightning Damage/Added Lightning Damage
Suffixes Don't matter X3:

Augment Lightning only has 1 option: +1 All Lightning Spell Gems

Reroll suffixes until I get % Block Chance, and 1 other random mod that is removeable.

Add Prefixes cannot be changed

Aisling T4, and hopefully get either Double Damage (can also be crafted later), Increased effect of curses, or raw attributes. Otherwise, reroll suffixes again. (Resists okay too)

Influence either Hunter Warlord or Crusader for either ES on Block/Life on Block or Charges on Block or Mana efficiency.

Craft on last mod (Double damage if it isn't already there).

Done.

That shield puts my Tempest Shield up to level 32, with double damage (Helm stat), Chance to double it again (Double damage stat is separate from Crest of Desire) added damage *220% ( Tempest Shield multi) and increases Lightning damage 75%, and would substitute for my Whakatuti O Matua's 200+ ES and life Regen on Block with a flat recovery, without the Whaka's Tar downside, and have more base Block, effectively 78% or 80% capping my Attack Block without Glancing Blows.

Since my Tempest Shield chains 12 times, the result is each chain averages about 45,700- 89,000 per hit, or about 1 million dps per chain (Bear in mind this is a defensive skill), up from about 540k

3) Path of Building dude was hired by GGG, so technically PoB is now them.

4) GGG's trade site updates faster and is more accurate than any of the websites you mentioned, has more and better filters than any of them (for trading)

2.) That has nothing to do with QoL but I'm happy u got a chance to talk about your items.

3.) After how many years? and still no proper game-integrated Pathofbuilding? Also: We use Pathofbuilding-fork (done by, u guessed it).

4.) GGG's trade site only came due to massive pressure by players and very late. That GGG's trade site is better than the fan-made pages is not impressive but a standard expectation they would have to fulfill as professionals. Can't believe u compare a professional company with fan made effort.

Orb of Unmaking: 1 league after Maven.
Regrading Orbs: 1 league after Heist.

Only retro content that was released leagues ago took awhile to update in tabs (fragments particularly).

Atm, the only old content that doesn't have a slot: Stacked decks.

If rekikyo stopped whiteknighting so aggressively and you stopped with the hyperbole, you might actually come to an understanding.
The game is not missing a metaphorical steering wheel. What you're calling "adding a steering wheel after 10 years" is more like adding an additional can holder. Car was OK, it even had a can holder but another one would have been handy... and it was added a bit late.

with what I wrote I did NOT say that the game is missing a steering wheel. I did NOT actually say anything about the game.
I created a hyperbole for his "aggressive whiteknighting" as you called it to show him his extent of whiteknighting (of course exaggerated, but that's a stylistic device).
