POE 3.16 - Bad League

League focused on make the player die on 1 frame.
I left at 12 challenges, flasks keep the huge nerf of 3.15 If the next one is still focused on make you die in one frame. im out the league, and maybe the game as well. |

" I've never bought a supporter pack. I've farmed 3 mirrors this league. That being said, yes, this league mechanic is one of the worst league mechanics they've done. The core game is pretty good though, but the league itself is so bad. Chris Wilson has stated that his favorite league ever was Talisman league though, so should we be surprised when they produce a new league that basically is a "better" talisman league? GGG continously wants to push this high risk high reward type of thinking down our throat. But truth is, most players don't enjoy bricking their items or build. That's what usually lead to alot of players quitting the game. |

Without heist (jewelery) I don't know if I would make 3x chaos reciep. I gave up, back in standard. But the worst thing is... I know this game will by nerfed too the ground, they change legacy mods, I scary about IIQ now, I feel that there is no point in investing time and nerves in improving items, because they have destroyed the previous ones so many times in various ways. I see mod's changes, for exemple -1, other -2, other removed from bench and legacy now. They will nerf it gradually but systematically, and in this way they will not experience next masive drop. I'm getting whiplash trying to read this thread. Just another Scourge hate thread from people who generally haven't actually tried it.
The mobs are stronger, faster, harder and GGG has given is every tool we need to combat that. It's amazing how quickly this league vs other leagues can slingshot from being a completely useless build, to instantly wiping an entire Incursion room T16 full of magic mobs in only a few seconds. I've never experienced this in any other league. Other leagues; Once you realize your build is in trouble, you also expect it to take weeks to fix it. This league.... It's pretty obvious how to fix build problems: Block/Spell Block/Spell Suppression. If you're not doing it, I pity you. Scourge content is actually extremely well designed as well; The stuff that drops on the ground is generally crap..... like 99% of all that drops outside of scourge.... (who would have thunk). Still... the actual scourge mods actually are reasonable when crafting in most cases with a few rare exceptions, and getting 2 beneficials and 1 negative is actually pretty common once you get enough Scourge XP and clear well. The nicest thing about Scourge though, is the fact that it actually makes uniques relevant. When you want to risk corrupting something for more mods, do you like using your 6X T1 crafted gear, or an item duplicated 2000 times that when scourged, can potentially compete with it, and even have more EHP/Damage? Let's throw out some examples: Poet's Pen, Corrupted with 9% Ele Pen, with Enchanted Quality = Elemental Damage, with +1 All Lightning Spell Skill Gems, and +10% Chance to inflict Lightning Exposure or Lightning Damage added to Spell Skills with only a downside of +184 Int Requirement? Pure Godly item with a potential +5 skill level and a ton of Penetration. The Anvil, Corrupted with +5% Attack Block, Dex/Str%, and Scourged with Penetrates 5% Elemental Damage, 8% Mana Efficiency, with 20% Life/mana from Fertile, with a downside of Cannot Leech Mana? Pure godly block amulet that outshines almost every crafted amulet that isn't seeking +2 skill levels. ------------------------- Then there's the detrimental mod which isn't always a destrimental: Your Damage Treats "Insert Ele Here" Damage as if enemies have 14% increased Resistance; That's actually a GOOD MOD. Why? It works with things like Trinity, or Ele Equilibrium or Blizzard Crowns to readjust the damage ratios enemies are taking. A Discharge with this mod will always proc a specific Ele Equilibrium and cause a sharp increase in the damage. ------------------------- Sure; you won't get these mods every time, but even 1 beneficial is often better than not having it. 43% Lightning Damage with a downside of 80% reduced chaos damage. Cry about it. -------------------------- Ex have been dropping like candy this league, both in items from previous content and from literally just killing stuff. BUT.... it only seems to happen after about 13 achievements, so stop giving up before then. |

the league mechanic is well designed i agree but the reward is bad compare to previous league.I personally love expedition especially now u don't have to pick up the artifact yourself.
The gear drop is terrible and become useless when you get to the map. it won't be profitable or worth doing unless your character is strong enough or can do some degree of zoom zoom the gear progression feel bad due to no currency drop in main league mechanic . you need to get lucky with your drop or play a lot to grind for currency to really get things going.especially when you re not playing meta build. QOL feel a lot better it's way much easier to pick up drops.more def mechanic to use.love the unveiled unlock all rank and lab unlock changes. personally I think they did try to fix thing a bit after the first few weeks then abandon the league to work on the next one which supposed to be a big expansion.the only thing that different from the last one is people are disappointed and getting skeptical about GGG hype now not like last year. lastly don't feel pity for people who are not enjoy the game they will leave and play something else when they have enough.pity the company that have less and less revenue each league I personally didn't buy any support pack this league and I encourage people to do the same if they are not enjoying the game.It's the best way to send GGG a message than complain on internet |

They usually only have like one defense layer max like putting on tempest shield, using glancing blows without any or just shitty recovery o think that 10k armour fixes all problems... People refuse to use defenses and than are totaly suprissed when they constantly die. I die too from time to time with my max block/spellblock aegis aurora build with 60k armour flasked up, ailnment immunity, crit immune and 26% pure phys reduction, overcapped res ect. but im running super dangerous tribble beyond t16/17 without looking at the map mods and if you do that you have to accept that you will die occasionaly. " More I play it more I like it. You say Talisman 3.0 (what was 2.0 BTW??) and I lol, pretty funny, but it's more like Beyond with a 3-10x multiplier. And yes you gotta tank up on this one. I'm an archer with 50K armor. I'd have 100K w/ melee. Currencies drop n those sick 10x corrupted maps you put in the crucible or just in nightmare as you see it has a quant buff in upper left. Anyways sure it's not real creative like the ones I generally hate that make you stop and think - killing flow like betrayal, or synthesis but it's a action packed nightmare. Agree about maps - it's like they purposely went after the fun maps. Do acid.:P Probably best map left. PS I just hit 95.... 15 pure EX so far. Get your nightmares over 200 and juice. Git R Dun! The more I play scourge, the more I dislike it (backtracking, crappy loot clutter) and feel it's actually redundant and improving other, already existing mechanics would be better.
also and for me most important: QoL I can't give GGGT credit for any QoL added with 3.16. Most QoL is overdue several years and was rightfully requested/suggested by players LONG time ago The most important QoL features are (still) coming from PoE-Fans (pathofbuilding, poeninja, tft, exilence, craft of exile... and so on and so on... the trade website GGGT implemented also came way too late but fortunately for many years fans had created poe.trade. GGGT are the absolute worst in terms of QoL - based on my 10 years experience with them. GGGT fucked up the premium stash tab again (been an issue for many years now). GGGT added new currency again without providing slots in premium tabs. Melee is terrible still/again...who knows... I could go on and on... I like PoE, don't get me wrong. The game's foundation is so solid that it could - at least for me - carry all the shit and lack of QoL they have been piling up on it in the past 5-6 years.
