Are players misunderstanding where Scourge leagues' rewards lie?

Tldw:- - Scourged item drops are rubbish and ought to be filtered out. - Each Tainted Fusing Orb drop is equivalent to about 200 fusings. The market has yet to absorb this. Note: That equivalence is not in terms of the market price, but rather in terms of its 6-linking potential compared to 6-linking with regular fusings. - Acts 1 to 5 you're getting free alchs galore. Note: Since some people seem confused by this, the Crucible alcs any white item you transform. Just pop in any linked drops you get and "alch" when ready. Some people have managed to get all their leveling gear this way, saving up any actual currency for later. - Acts 6 to 10 you're getting a lot more 5-links. Note: This refers to both corrupted item drops and the effect of Stitched Wounds Crucible passive. - Early mapping you're getting cheap 6-links. 38.6% chance of hitting 6-link by 3rd try. Just trade any outcomes you can't use yourself to others. Vendor all absolute duds for divine orbs. Note: This is from Stitched Wounds passive. - Endgame use the krangler on relatively accessible and popular uniques. For example, Shaper's Touch. You can buy a whole bunch of these at once and krangle them one after another. Throw away the duds. The few big wins you'll get will more than make up for it. Also consider using it on any uniques available from divination cards that're two implicit corrupted. - Occasional other valuable tainted orb drops if you're lucky. Yeah, I think people are making the mistake of putting things they use in the krangler and hoping for a good outcome. That's going to almost always end badly and in disappointment.
That thing is for maps, and uniques you don't care about. Some times it will pop out something fun. Thanks for all the fish!

How many maps does it take to create the scourged maps?
"T2 map with T7 Scourge" Wouldnt that take like 50 maps? I am not trying to exxagerate, on one average map I complete about 10-15% of a map scourging. |

You say the tainted fusing is worth 200 fusing. Menawhole price of them is dropping. In last 24h it went from 8c to 5c. It will probably drop even more as league progress.
Easy was of making 6 links to sell them for divines? I remember leagues where divines were 4c. We might see it again soon. Where true reward lies is from scourged maps. If you are lucky and hit things like extra currency from rare scourged monsters (there are few other good options, like deli splinters, oils) Honestly I wish I could use "item" slot to add even more maps - scourging 4 maps (or 5) at once would feel way better than bothering with some "easy divines". |

Average player is unlikely to view the mechanic in the same ways. I played extensively with it throughout the campaign, so much I got the map skill tree points before unlocking maps and it became a side project rather then a Main League feature I wanted to interact with.
Currently lvl 80 and slotted my 1st watch stone so maybe Yellows tonight if I get on. I have a handful of league specific currency, stopped picking up most scourged dropped items and still using a 4 link. Managed to get to 150 debuff and that shit is crazy. We talking transmuted white maps Lmao. They gave some nice defensive options but your average player is unlikely to utilise these optimally or even close. Mechanic is very punishing. Kill mobs, fill bar, switch realms, kill mobs, switch back, rinse and repeat. Is all good but that general core loop is broken by the debuff because it will become unmanageable for most if they can even make use of it due to timer restrictions. Not at end game but in my experience anyone at end game 1 week into league will mostly have a good idea of what/where "value" is. I dont mind the mechanic and think I will definitely make much more use of it in later mapping but need to lvl up and change equipment. Imo lvls 1 -> 90 should encourage use of THE League specific content much more then what currently is. It will put a lot of people off before maps and even during. I dont think most people misunderstand where the rewards are but rather what it takes to actually see what they would consider valuable/rewarding. |

" 4 maps, depending of map you play. The longer and bigger map, the better, because you will get more juice every map. Keep in mind scoyrged maps give juice as well. Right now I pretty much run 2 normal maps, then 2 scourged maps, then 2 normal ones, then 2 scourged maps again.
