Wow rip gladiator

Gladiator lost its core identity and defense and gained no offensive benefits.

"ignore physical damage reduction" when you are dealing 1 million damage most likely you are crushing the enemy armour formular towards 0%
Violent Retaliation is a dead Skillnode for people that know what they are doing and know how armour formular works. Also there is Crush now on Awakened Brutality - lol. Also 8% damage per block in the last 10 seconds was huge. Lucky attacks are a bad compensation basically straight out downgrade.

Painforged got 10% block - ok nothing crazy, still no permanent stun immune, no damage.

The new Skillnode with 10% max block is a net block of 6% because Violent retaliation gave 4% max block.

That ascendancy is only left with 3 Ascendancy nodes that can be worth considered picking out of 4 points to spent. Im baffled that the bad Outmatch and Outlast got no rework its still generic bad.

In essence Gladiator got nerfed on almost every good skill node and defense and got no damage boost in compensation and lost its identity because anyone and their Grandma will pick Versatile Combatant when in range.

I have to mostly agree. Trickster and Gladiator really got shafted this league, and the curious part is that it didnt have to be this way balance wise.

Its looks like a Scion, taking Glad nodes, is actually better off build wise, than being an actual Glad, which is ridiculous imo.

Yea gladiator got screwed. There is no reason to play him anymore. Trickster will be better for bleeds now in every way. Even scion is better.

Oh, I do understand. Without that cap, with those scourge negative modifiers there would be a chance to scale resists lower for that build thus increasing its damage?

If so, then well, lesson learned. It seems that every single change in this game should be considered as a nerf first, until hard-tested and proved otherwise...
Imagine getting -20% lightning res + a positive mod on 10 gear slots and running around giving mobs -500% lightning res. It would've 100% been the new support meta.

But anyways gladiator looks strictly nerfed by the ascendancy changes. Giving a party member 90% block with the link skill seems to be the only reason you'd want to play one.
