If you go to any community, whether its on discord or a forum and talk to a moderator like this, what do you expect to happen?

You didn't mention that in your little summary here?

You think those lines cover the whole conversation? Snapshot a reaction which the OP has mentioned to be out of line before you posted the above to counter their 'little' summary?

From what OP says they were ordered to do the refund?

Neither side is in the clear and it doesn't matter as it's not resolvable without full truth. Just too bad this finger pointing is more or less inevitable and it ends up here.

It's not clear to me if I post the whole conversation in the report if it is naming and shaming.

The whole conversation is pretty damning for the OP. And yeah, I'm sure the mod ordered him to refund after he took more than the trade was for. That seems to be one of the things you agree to in order to trade on TFT, the moderation of the TFT to include their final decision. OP decided to keep the chaos, and lost access to TFT as a result. Seems like it went down about as you would expect.
Thanks for all the fish!

Ah they have some sort of disclaimer that in disputes the mods make a final say on the exchange of goods. I didn't know that - in that case such an order could be expected.

Well and if there's proof of overpay as you have the whole convo (with proof of transaction I expect), I suppose this is a resolvable thing and I was wrong.
Did you try turning it off and on again?

Although I agree with you in principle...

My whole post was formed based on that principle. Can't be bothered to read about specific incidents, as those are bound to happen within this system, even if they're bad, subjective interpretations. It's like a dark cloud lingering, making 'everyone' frustrated.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
There are too many holes in this story to draw any kind of conclusion. What bothers me the most is that it was probably the same for a TFT mod as well, seeing as they are nothing more than a regular player with a tag on a Discord.

Unless the player asking for a refund had a screenshot of the trade window, showing he traded more than 150c (which still isn't proof of course of what was actually traded in the end) that mod had no access to trade records of any kind and thus based his opinion entirely on anecdotal evidence and highly subjective opinions and should have never acted in the way he did, even if OP was rather crude in chat. Sticks and stones, mate, they teach this to little kids.

Like I said, too many holes to come to any informed conclusion here imo, so all this is mere speculation, but as of right now, it seems the one mostly in the wrong is the mod.

Having said that though, TFT Discord is entirely run by the people assigned roles like this and they can effectively do whatever they want, regardless of any outside implications. Yeah, it's potentially corrupt enough to make Vaal orbs reconsider their life choices. If you don't like that, at least you have the option to stay away from it.
Carry on my waypoint son, there'll be peace when maps are done.
Lay your portal gem to rest, don't you die no more.

'Cause it's a bitter sweet symphony this league.
Try to make maps meet, you're a slave to the meta, then you leave.
Classic - people in power likes to use their power from time to time to destroy others, nothing new :) stay strong.

How would you prove that you were scammed? For screenshot/video, at this moment you cannot capture the moment where both players accepted the trade. One of them can hit accept first, take screenshot, then modify the trade. Or for video, can remove the frames where he corrected the amounts traded.

On the other hand, if someone tells you to return the excess, you tell him there was none, right? "Here's the message you sent me:..."

So... OP used a private community, refused to abide by a moderator's order to reverse an easily reversible trade, and he's surprised he got banned for that? lol

I wouldn't give the OP too much creditability. He has already lied about the sequence of events. OP mentions twice in this thread that he told the counterparty to get lost after counterparty threatens to report him to TFT. The actual conversion screenshot on TFT shows that OP told counterparty to "nah get lost" after counterparty asks for return of excess funds. Then counterparty says that he will report OP to TFT.

PSA: Transactions don't have to originate on TFT to get reported on TFT.
Gutting Gameplay Gradually
never once used tft

game still works fine

TFT s*cks
Would you trust a bot which the job is collect all "trust post aka vouchers" ?
vouch list:
- pro tip
- service
- pm in Discord to tell you how achivement can be done
- carry
- items provider
- WTT maps both players vouch each other
etc etc

the main problem is, this is a free game anyone can create an "mule" account maybe to scam or whatever. In TFT some people are in "party" with multibox in the same PC and IP address.

1st I dont trade or ask services with parties
just 1:1

2nd I check account name must be similar as Discord account

about the trade
as everyone knows you spam for divine vessel to 20 people and noone answer
you made the right call when the trade it is accepted there is no refund
prices fluctuations at the end of the league lots of fake post

@Scamaccount Hi, I would like to buy your Exalted listed for 1 chaos in Expedition (stash tab "~price 1 chaos"; position: left 7, top 6)

yeah right!!
