I feel 3.16 does not has to have good content but actually NEED good balance in the numbers and mechanical aspects of the game.
Its overdue to buff underpowered skills to make it exciting trying out new stuff. And i dont mean this from a new player perspective. I have my fair share of years of experience in PoE and im not tricked by a 6% buff. When i saw the numbers and gameplay of Forbidden Rite i knew immediately it will be busted before even tried. I knew Voltaxic Burst would be pure garbage even with god tier items. And i wish for the future they stop with this artificial gap design in mechanic combat systems (melee) or in gem number balance design. Its okay to force meta like shield skills or Forbidden Rite this patch but the forced meta was one if not the most narrow i have seen. I left Spectres out because they seem to be a staple each league after some time. That said the number balance in 3.16 will be a deciding factor for me as a player to find the game fun or not fun. Player numbers and retention for 3.16 should definitely be way higher if players get even a crumb of power back. D2R will already be a month old and people will have moved on already.
There's a chance that streamers will throw a fit and quit 3.16 early because the farming meta will be solved too easily with only 4 regions. That would kill retention even if the league mechanic is good. Then you'd have to wait until 3.17 and new endgame to see the game recover. |

Everyone out here complaining for who knows what reasons. Meanwhile I'm playing and having a blast. The nerfs were necessary, albeit the mana changes are a little rough, and the league is so much fun and so rewarding. I missed out on one month, but I'm nuking content with my Consecrated Path totems and having a blast doing so. Not sure why everyone is upset, but less players means less spam. Keep it up people. You'll be back in 3.16. You know it, I know it, we all know it. You will come back and complain about 3.16 the same way you complain about 3.15, 3.14, 3.13, and so on.

" It's quiet different this time - making acts longer, destroying high-end farm activities, slowering the farm speed without any changes to drop rates, deleting prophecies - guess we gonna say bye-bye to fated connections and reliable way to 6link your first uniques, new mods to clusters > you gonna need more currency to craft them, etc, etc... It's no longer about my build got nerfed - it's about whole game literally crying * JUST PLAY MOAR*, it's becoming more tedious and time consuming to reach the same result. I played quiet a bit - played couple of meta builds ( 1 trade league and 1 ssf, later also migrated to trade). And first time EVER after weeks of dumping currency into my characters, they still feel like s**t. Yes, I did all content with them - but did it feel good? Nope, it felt like I'm still playing with tabula and half of gear picked from the floor. I'm just not ok with the power level after so much time and currency spent. What's the reason to play if in result you still can't nuke boss or run juiced map in chill state of mind, without constant fear of getting one-shotted? 3.13 Was the best league ever!

If you're not in constant fear of getting one shot, then either you don't understand this game, or you built your character really tanky. I'm always in fear of getting one shot. I am capped on resists, have only 4200 life but I feel the same way at 6500 even, and my build nukes shit. There will always be and has always been stuff that one shots players, almost all of them, and any particular player thinking they are the exception to the necessity to not go glass cannon is the reason majority of players in SC play character catapult instead of learning to dodge mechanics. I learnt mechanic avoidance by every once in a while playing HC. I'm not saying I'm good, but between starting that a few years ago and now, I no longer play character catapult and my deaths are no longer in the hundreds by the time I reach 90+. I'm under 100 usually and still improving.

" Getting oneshotted by sirus a9 meteor - well, ok, getting oneshotted by laser's on Uhtred with lot's of stacked mods - is also reasonable for me, getting oneshotted by sirus dominated rare on 100% deli t19 map - I could understand it. But getting oneshotted by a random rare or on a non-delirious map or logbook(just dont tell me to die while rolling mods to skip like 50% of them) after I spent a good chunk of exalts on a character - is a ridiculous non-sense. 6-7 min to kill a9 sirus? Sounds like those exalts and my time were purely wasted lul. The only solo build that could provide reliable dps/ehp output for a solo player is aurastacker on a good budget? I played one in 3.14, after i dumped like first 100 exa(got 90% all res, etc) it started to feel really decent, incoming/outcoming damge became REASONABLE. But I would go insane if I'm gonna play ONLY aurastackers. Plus they are on the chopping list for 3.16... 3.13 Was the best league ever!

" wait 11k is a lot? ppl think wow is dying at 800k... 11k is not looking good, just saying. less than most small towns: Small Town (6): An incorporated place or Census-designated place with a population less than 25,000 and greater than or equal to 2,500 and located outside a metropolitan area. hell some streamers average bigger numbers than that at any point in time - thats 1 person with next to zero content, just personality. " A lot of people have problems with prople that form their opinions solely though others. I understand that very well. Especially if they are vocal about certain aspects. I'm sure you've tested a lot of the changes on standard, altering your builds to fit the support gem nerfs (and not just looked at the DPS numbers before and after), and that's where you've got your opinion from. Then it's OK. " Still not dead. Where did you get the WoW numbers from, BTW? Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile. Last edited by Phrazz#3529 on Sep 12, 2021, 5:32:20 PM
