This league is dead 3.16 has to be as dope as can be!

I've never seen a league that dead ever before.

Trade chat channel 1 almost 10 minutes before a message showed up.

I'm selling an abandoned wealth card for cheap. Usually I get about 5 billion messages within 1 minute, this time 0 messages for almost 20 minutes.

I'm not a doomsayer but this time shit feels serious. 3.16 has to be really great otherwise I don't see people coming back.

Well for a while people were super vocal and issued their opinions but now it got rather silent and it appears many moved on. I dont think anyone can tell who will return and who wont. So i can only speak for myself. I wont play again unless the game reaches at least the state of 3.14 again. I dont want to feel the 3.15 frustration again.

at least d2r is coming in two weeks so some may play it until the new league OR maybe even till 3.17/poe2. at least d2r will be a stable game without any crazy changes like we have in current poe. i mean nerfing players power by 40-60% without any compensation in loot/quantity etc, what is this garbage?

They will be back.

Pretty sure people will be back for the next league - at least to check out if GGG got their 'message'. But a few more such leagues and there might be a permanent drop of players.

I'm hoping for a fun league, expedition is alright but I don't really like it every zone. Faster atlas should be a nice change for me personally. This is number 1 reason I can't find the energy to play.

Although I can't wait for balance manifesto and patch notes day... it's going to be great popcorn day.

Currently there are still over 11k people playing on Steam right now and it's past midnight where I am at currently. I would say that the league is NOT dead because I highly doubt everyone of those 11,000 players are all playing Standard.

I would argue that steam players are the ones that drop off the most. For them PoE is most likely one of many games. On the other hand players that downloaded stand alone are the ones more commited to this game. They did care enough to redowload the game afterall. They are much less likely to take a break.
