Streamer Big Ducks unloads on GGG and people who attack those critical of GGG

tldr pls?

Big Ducks right away mentions "time" in his video. That's the main reason I have quit playing PoE (not the only reason). It just takes too much time and during that time rewards me with too little fun.

- too much time preparing stuff (maps, atlas, etc.) instead of playing the actual game
- too much time reading up on stuff instead of playing the actual game
- too much time crafting or trading instead of playing the actual game
- too much time to achieve anything (items, currency, etc.) by playing the actual game
- lack of QoL. That lack unnecessarily consumes more of my time.

It was a very well thought-out video, the guy really nailed it.

I just love how streamers are all out-of-touch elites when they say something we don't like, and champions representing the community when it's something we do. It's only a matter of time before that poor guy says something that people don't like, and be crucified for it. Fickle, thy name is gamer.

There are people that find this iteration of Poe fun, and I'm one of them, mostly. I think 3.13 was just clearly superior in every way, and the game needs to gravitate back towards that for long-term survival, but the 3.15 nerfs are OK-ish, except they just didn't do any actual balancing, ie one side giveth one side taketh away.

Somebody somewhere, Chris, Sarah, somebody at GGG who is usurping the actual fun game code and supplanting it with this stuff we got now, somebody w bomb planted under the office building, made decisions that were divorced from reality as it relates to people's desire to play a computer executable proffered as a game. and just that.

Chris wants a grind, but nobody else does. This form of combat always ends the same way.

some people consider this "the game" or at least part of it.
I mean, if you only want to play the game, i.e. kill stuff and get some loot, there's little need for preparing and reading up on stuff.

Its the lemming phenomenon

People love to hate/bash/whatever spread negativity. It generates the most views.

It creates a negativ spiral and on youtube you get into the negativity bubble.

The algorythem will recommend you more and more negativ stuff.

You start to dislike stuff you actualy liked before just because of the sheer negativity that you are confronted with.


Its a actual issue not only with poe.

Maybe, but then maybe some people ( i was one of them ) logged in, realized all their characters on standard were nuked and would have to spend weeks rebuying gear and balancing and changing gems and mana reservations and flasks that they have already spent mths on and said fuck this and logged out.

I play mostly league too, but i was already discouraged they trashed all my old characters (for the umpteenth time), the league looked meh to me along with a more grindy game from the patch notes, i just didnt care.

Guess im a lemming.
