3.15 is alright, for people who know what to do. Casuals or part-timers, the worst patch ever

" entitled: believing oneself to be inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment I guess I didn't understand what you meant by entitled and the context. I don't see any entitlement here. " Clearly. You purposely fail to see the difference between "writing a review" and "writing a review to force GGG to do what you want". The first, as you describe, is quite normal - and a good thing. The latter, on the other hand, is where the entitlement comes in to play. You CLEARLY failed to see the difference, or you decided to play dumb, and I don't know what's worse. A review is there for you to review a product. Do you have enough hours in 3.15, to make a completely negative review based only on 3.15, ignoring all other leagues you've played and enjoyed in you review? The reader of said review are looking to get a picture of the game as a whole, not your hurt feelings of one change. The moment you are using the review as a tool to force someone to do what you want, you're decieving the reader. BUt you didn't realize the difference here, so this discussion is quite futile. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

" Oh, I didn't believe entitlement was involved because I believe they have different reasons for writing bad reviews. You believe that people are writing bad reviews to force GGG to do what they want. Yes, they are entitled but so what? GGG's entitlement is that they don't believe their shit stinks. Who wins? Who knows? I believe that some people writing bad reviews are doing so to to hurt GGG's bottom line. They may or may not get what they want in the game and GGG has said it is nerfs all around (full steam ahead) going forward but they can definitely hurt GGG's bottom line by writing bad reviews. It is all about punishment right now. Nothing random about that unlike game mechanics. Reminds me of the African Proverb: "The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it to down to feel its warmth." All reviews can influence the reader one way or another. So long as it is from personal experience it is not deception. It is feedback. Feedback usually drives change. This is normal. If feedback is ignored...well...things get escalated. If you are compensated for a review I think that is deception. Gutting Gameplay Gradually

" Punish them...? Yeah, no, "nothing" wrong woth that. "Either I get what I want, or you suffer...", reminds me of little kids. I've skipped leagues before because I didn't like them. I've been upset about some changes here and there. But this is a game to me. It's their livelihood. To start deliberately discredit their product and "punish" them because your upset over some changes, and don't get what you want? Seems overly childish and egoistic to me. Maybe I'm just too old. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

" So you believe dissatisfied customers who has uninstalled the game should stay quiet and leave in silence? That's not how the world works buddy. If people get sold a product or an idea (Face it, majority of people crying have invested hundreds or thousands of hours into the game and atleast bought stash tabs) they absolutely have the right to complain or leave bad reviews if they find the product faulty or don't like it. It's like going to watch a movie and the movie turns out to be utter crap. Critics will leave bad reviews complaining about everything wrong with the movie. You remember when M. Night Shaymalan made the Avatar the Last Airbender movie? A pretty much universally hated movie adaptation of a Nickelodean series. PoE expedition league is like the Avatar movie. Currently, you're defending the Avatar movie telling others they have no right to criticize it. There's a difference between skipping a league because the league is bad or boring and skipping a league because you dislike the core fundamentals of the game. When a league is bad, you can just skip it and come back in the future. When you release a good league like expedition, but the actual core gameplay gets destroyed in your eyes, it's not as easy to just come back for next league. If the fundamental elements of the game is flawed, no temporary league mechanic is going to save it for you. |

" How come? People bought in on a product and spent their time, possibly even money on it. They are disatisfied with the product, remove it from their computer and tell the producer what they believe is wrong and/or why they're disatisfied. What exactly is the community doing right now that's so bad? 60% have quit the league. They take to forums, reddit and steam to express the reason they're frustrated with the game and quitting in hopes that GGG will learn something from it. This literally happens in every market and to every product in the world. I'm watching the exact same thing going on in WoW right now. (Disregard the current blizzard company culture drama which is a whole other clusterf**k of problems) There's a massexodus from Wow right now because the game is complete garbage. Few people find it fun any longer and are now trying out other games instead. What are these people doing? Same thing as here. They take to the forums, to reddit, to youtube et.c. and tell why the game is shit to them and why they're leaving. It's no different. These communities are pretty much doing the exact same things. Show displeasure with a product trying to steer the producers in the what they believe to be the correct path or to repel others from making the mistake of investing their time into the game. |
