Your Thoughts On New 3.15 Patchnotes?
" But sir, Chris Wilson said you enjoyed hard content. I remember exclusively he said this is the change the beta players wanted. |

My BV character had its damage halfed.
My Aurastacker got a slight buff to spark but nothing noteworthy. My RF character has its damage lowered by 50-80% (WTF?) My Cyclone slayer has its damage more than halfed. Did i get new stuff to do in endgame ? No. Does the league mechanic look fun ? No. Does ggg want me to grind even more than before ? Yes. Do i want to grind more for less ? No. I don't think i'll play the new league for long, and less overall (standard). ggg is way out of touch with the playerbase and their own game, their balance changes reflect that and i will no longer buy supporter packs. I think for me the ultimate issue is that the patch does not actually address power creep, they have just gated it behind aurabots. They claim that they want to reduce player power at the top level and that’s fine, but leaving aura bots and headhunter untouched, runs completely against this. Then to double down they power up monsters in act 1, which then normalises at lvl 84. This is the polar opposite of addressing top end power creep.

" This reminds me a lot of the Cataclysm expansion in WoW. Massively hyped after the amazingly successful Wrath of the Lich King. Leveling was fantastic, so many cool features and ideas. Then the developers tried to take it back to the difficulty/grind of late-stage Vanilla and kept right on going - despite plummeting player numbers and the forums being even more poisonous than usual. GC even came onto the forums with his now famous 'WoW was always supposed to be hard' post. This lasted for maybe 6 months, before Blizzard overcorrected so hard in the opposite direction that the game never fully recovered, despite the next expansion being legitimately near-perfection. GC ended up resigning. " Oh yeah, Wolcen. I remember playing that shortly after release and sort of liking it, despite the crippling bugs. Might have to check back on that one too. |

Pile of crap.
I think they want the players who joined after 3.0 to frig off, so I'm gonna do just that for now. |

I rather not see this game fail been playing since Ambush league and I for sure do not want to go back to that version of the game. The power creep needs to be addressed I agree. The thing that got me to decide not to play this league and perhaps the next is the nerf to defenses without addressing the all too many one shots you suffer from. Most often what saves you is the zoom zoom and massive dmg. So lets nerf defenses, Damage, slam in a un tested flask rework, and give monsters 40% more life. Oh and lets make acts more of a pain in the ass to get through. Jesus I do 5 to 6 toons a league I've did my damn time in the acts does it really need to be longer before I actually get to play my build. Those who are excited for this league I hope you enjoy the hell out of it, different strokes for different folks.

Felt like some nerfs were just thrown in for the sake of it/out of spite.
Look at Hypothermia , which irl would kill you overtime, support gem which is a thematically cold skill wont apply to cold-dots. And i was considering getting back after skipping a league and getting a bit hyped by the expedition trailer but with the patch notes, i think i'll wait a day or two and see if i will jump in or not. |

Think I'm out.
I'll rejoin POE when they do their massive apology post when they drop 70+% of their players and revert pretty much everything they've done since the last time the game was enjoyable, Delirium. GGG doesn't seem to understand the reason damage is prioritized is because of the difficulty ramp and the other build variations aren't used because they outright feel bad because of poor clear speed. Nerfing everything doesn't make other builds viable. It just makes everything suck. Sure, relative to others they don't suck as much anymore but they still suck. Making everything feel bad doesn't make anything else feel good. The game has become a second job and it's even less rewarding than the one I already don't like working at. I play games to have fun. I didn't walk away from those patch notes with any hint of fun to be had. So until GGG gets their priorities straight, I will get mine straight. There is far better things to spend my time and money on than willfully enduring the ongoing punishment of being a POE fan. The game now rewards you more for clicking menus than playing the game which really says it all. |
