can't pass first loading screen after 3.14.3

Any similar ARPG game we can play till this is fixed?

Whats the point of investing time and money in a broken game!?

Hi,

I tried to start the game the first time on this laptop.
I am currently stuck at the loading screen after startong as described by others.

I have updated my driver via
https://www.intel.de/content/www/de/de/support/intel-driver-support-assistant.html
confirming my up-to-date driver.

I tried renderer_type=Vulkan but have the same results (loading screen)

dxdiag: https://pastebin.com/nimCjVka

Would be happy to get any support for running the game.

the driver is too old and laptop/Intel onboard graphic is not meant for gaming

If your laptop manufacturer forbidden you to update driver. Contact your manufacturer or clean install display driver or clean install windows with intel own driver

Hi,

I updated my driver via the intel automatic identification process which updated to the installed driver (no problems updatng driver)
I now also checked manually and chose this one
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/30196/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-40-
If this is not the latest driver please let me know which one to use as I understand I have already installed the latest one.

I tried agan with renderer_type=DirectX11 / Vulkan but still have the same problem.

I understand that my laptop/setup is not meant for gaming but think this seems like a separate issue for me.
Don't you think the hardware/performance issue would be shown by extremely poor performance or a specific popup indicating that my hardware is not supported if this would be the issue?

If there is not quick fix I will wait and try in some days if I can get the game running, I was simply looking forward to some hours of gamng this evening..

It worked!!!!!

"open config file production_Config.ini (C:\Users\...\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile)
and setup renderer_type=Vulkan save and launch the game. It's helped me and now its work"

thanks mate, it works!
Vulkan only works with certain Graphic cards, so even if everyone changed their renderer type to that, it's not always gonna work for everyone. Also updating your driver will most likely not do the trick either.(and having an older integrated Gfx doesn't necessarily mean you won't be able to play PoE, My 15 yr old laptop can run PoE, its just laggy as hell.)
I'm sure most people have tried any, and everything to see if it would work. So the only thing we can do is be patient for GGG to get their a$$es in gear, and figure it out.
It really is quite the piss off, especially when your looking forward to geeking out after a long day of work..

hop onto PoB, and fiddle around trying out new builds, different gear options if you need your PoE fix! there's also Drakensang Online, D2 LoD, D3, and many other games you can play to pass the time. IMO CoD Zombies are the best for a good time waster.

Someone @ GGG should be on a deathmarch getting this fixed(HOPEFULLY)
also having this same problem. tried the vulkan thing, the game simply crashes and closes down by itself with no messages or warnings.
already deleted all files and re-installed thrice. Yesterday it was working all day, then at night it stopped. Help plz, favorite game, hard times, free only for some of the wknd...

Also, very not digitally inclined, would appreciate a lot if anyone could give simple but very illustrated instructions for any possible solutions on my end.
Steve. The game run as a potato with Intel 4th gen + dedicated Nvidia card already

If you tried the driver thing, then your laptop may be not passing min requirement anymore, since onboard graphic never equivariant to Nvidia 650 model

I'm having the same issue. I updated my drivers (just in case), tried clearing cache, tried rendering with Vulkan and DirectX...

I was able to play until the recent small update and after that I just get perpetual gears. Please let me know if you find a fix for this!
Just want to bump this for visibility - im experiencing exactly the same as everyone.

Im playing on a old laptop, but up until yesterday i was chugging along just fine.

Now i cant even log in as im stuck on perpetual spinning gears

Well thats my day off and doing some maps ruined.
