can't pass first loading screen after 3.14.3
Temporary SOLUTION, guys.
Install linux (you can do it in dual-boot with Windows, just google instructions). Install steam on linux, proton experimental (in steam) and mesa drivers. Run poe via steam proton. It works FINE. Last edited by Voidstranger#2718 on Jul 10, 2021, 2:24:43 PM

installing an entirely different OS just to play a single game is a bit much of a task for me, especially with my internet is currently rather slow, takes about 8-9 hours to re-download PoE... I'll just wait and hope the devs will soon make a fix to their 'hotfix' that's borking it for so many players

Guess I'm one of the lucky ones. Switching to Vulkan renderer worked for me.

I love the POE game very much, but the gear is stuck, please fix it, thank you

Hi guys, any chance I can get some help? Not entirely sure what I need to do. Tried to delete cache, tried to reinstall, tried to rename my directx11 to vulcan and to directx12, and no changes.
Here's the beginning of my dxdiag; the full log is apparently too long
Spoiler

Why would a company release a hotfix just before the weekend if no one is going to be around to fix it incase something goes wrong (which it does a lot in all games). They could have completely avoided this issue with some organization

Im having this same problem. Still persists after hotfix

Yea, this is really becoming unbelievably retarded... No response from anyone at GGG. Especially when that small patch file was released, someone there should have stuck around just incase any problems arose(Like they did!) which kept everyone at the 2 gears loading screen AGAIN..
I got lucky myself, I was originally running my integrated Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600, which kept me at the loading screen even after updating the Driver, and even using the PackCheck inside PoE's folder. So I switched to an older AMD Radeon HD 7300 Series card, which ended up working after I updated the Driver. (Although the Gfx quality In-game is complete crap, and I'm only getting MAX 16FPS, and my latency is a steady 70MS) I really hope they get what ever is causing the not being able to get past the loading screen ASAP!! |

Same problem here.

Like my HP desktop, it will block INTEL driver update due to vendor block. To bypass it, you need to uninstall driver directly under control panel/driver manager (select driver then uninstall under properties). After it, windows will detect your driver need to be installed. I think MS will look for that from their side and put into your OS, you dont need to download the latest version from INTEL. Windows will do it for you
After restarting, look for your POE config file (sometimes, your config file found under your OneDrive/documents instead). Change renderer_type=Vulkan, it will load BTW, with Vulkan, full screen mode offers better performance Last edited by echovoice#1349 on Jul 11, 2021, 11:00:32 AM
