The game was running fine until that 38MB(?) update appeared.

For those folks who want to use the newest Intel drivers from Intel, but those drivers won't install, because you get a message saying you need to get your PC manufacturers' latest drivers:
I was able to get the Intel drivers installed by first completely uninstalling the drivers via Device Manager [Under Display Adapter, right-click on "Intel WhicheverItIs" and select Uninstall - make sure to check the box to delete drivers, also] After that, and a restart, I could then install the correct drivers from Intel. Then the game still gave me the perpetual gears, until I edited the config file to use Vulkan as the renderer. Now, it launches, and I can log in. Hope this was helpful. The Intel window telling you it failed had a "get help" button, or something like that, and it was from there that I found the link explaining how to do the clean install. I was having the same issue. Downloaded the most updated drivers from Dell, then changed the render to Vulkan and was able to get on. Graphics took a second to load at first but now it's running smooth.

Everything is up to date here. But like others with the last hotfix today I have grinding gears again.
Worst part.. this hotfix wasn't even listed on the patch notes. GGG who is being accountable for this? |

" Good point. I realized that there was no note talking about the patch. The previous patch fixed my loading problem, but this new one made the problem come back. :/ |

I see people saying that switching to vulkan works for a temp fix. Can someone give a rundown of how to set that up? I know how to swap that in the poe config file, but not sure what libraries/drivers I might need for it, or if my graphics is supported (intel 530).
