GGG please end speculation by denying streamers better loot

Streamers get priority and better loot. dansgame dude got a mirror in his sub 300 hrs game play. Now anyone with a flair for statistics would realise its only possible because it was meant to be and not because it was random fluke. Real question though , does it affect average joe gamer like us ?

Any streamer who plays 10+ hrs a game will outperform my old ass playing 2 hrs of afking and 5 hrs of watching streams on 2nd monitor. With release of delve it was already established that every player has hidden rng seed and drops vary for everyone. For me particularly this is main charm of poe .If lady luck is pleased so be it if not well i will try another day .

This is like complaining that advertisement star gets paid , all the real life actors / influncers get paid products and cash because that's how world works. Marketing 101 dude . I don't understand your point OP.
chaotic neutral
If I had to guess, Chris probably very rarely boosted some streamers drops in the first few years. But only temporarily for luls while watching them play.

I seriously doubt they buff any accounts these days.

If they've never buffed drops then why not just say so?

now lets do some estimates to see what this actually means.
lets assume that it takes on average 30000 hours to find a mirror. i know this is an assumption, but it doesnt sound too outlandish

in that case it is only a 1/100 chance to drop a mirror over 300 hours of gameplay.

now this doesnt factor in how you play the game or what content you do, but lets go a little further and say that it takes on average 300k hours to find a mirror playing like dansgame did

in this case its still a 1/1000 chance to find it in 300 hours.

while this is unlikely to happen, its not even close to an unreasonable event.

i play another game, and within our game there is a 1/38k event that can happen. only one person among the hundreds of people who play this game in our community has had this happen, and for him it happened TWICE in about 200 tries.

now thats some fucked up luck (bad luck, its the worst possible rng in this context), and it is faaar more unlikely than dropping a mirror in 300 hours using my assumptions

weird shit happens, its not a conspiracy

I mean...why wouldn't they be increasing drop rates for streamers? Ethical questions aside, from a purely business/financial standpoint they either are increasing drop rates, or they should be.

-Will increasing drop rates for streamers without their knowledge make streamers happy and continue playing? "Yes"
-Does GGG market their game through streamers? "Yes"
-Is it illegal to vary drop rates of electronic goods for players without causing financial harm? "No"

So if it's good for their business, and not illegal, we should assume they are doing it.

For those saying we would see a huge disparity in streamer RNG vs themselves they don't understand that anecdotal experiences is not the same as data from the whole player base. Even if they increase drop rates of exalts by x2 or x3 or cause some rolls to be 'Lucky' it still won't happen very often, but it's enough of an increase to generate more clippable Twitch streams that viewers will watch and get excited about.

And for the record on my position, I'm not saying I want this. I would probably leave PoE if I *knew* they were doing it. However since we can't know without literally looking at the source code (which we'll never see) I have to suspect it's occurring, but never know for sure.

Im getting Schrödinger's cat vibes from this.

I legit chuckled. It was completely unintentional I swear!
