Your number one reason for wanting to play POE ?

I love these types of action-rpgs with iso metric view! And being a badass just killing everything in sight and looting! Can't wait to play. Hope I get in beta.

I'm sick of having to deal with big-company games which don't take into account what we the people ask for. A huge thing on my list is just the ability to LAN a game (this has gone down the hill for many years now, only a handful of games that come out now are LAN-able even, I can think of many games which would have been wonderful MP; even to the point of false advertisement on such games as Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare, I bought it because on the back it said it had split-screen co-op, but nothing...), or in this case, play online and not have to pay ten time's over the price of the original game. If I spend $60 on a game, why need I pay $15/month after to even be able to enjoy it?! And then there's such games as Mercenaries 2, You can't play it online anymore, there's no server's left - you can play on cracked servers though, doesn't that show how much more the players are dedicated to the game than the developers. Enough rambling, gimme PoE to play!!!

I was really impressed with the passive skill tree and the skill gems sort of remind me of FF7's materia system. In genereal, this game basically looks like what D3 should have been.

Jesus you're exactly right. The Diablo team should have taken some pointers from Path of Exile. We want more depth. Not some simple change into whatever you want at anytime game. This game has the first real heavy decision making I've seen in a while.

That being said.

My number one reason for wanting this game is the amount of detail and effort GGG is putting into a game that they are making free to play. These guys obviously get what users want out of an action rpg and the fact that they are willing to make it free to play is amazing to me.

This game got my attention when I heard of the Skill system. "Combining skill gems with support gems" is simply too good to get unnoticed. Now that I am in beta I really like the skill system.

I'm an enthusiast of the hack n slash genre; Path of Exile looks to be a promising hack n slash game.

main reason is my frustration with blizzard irvine for there art direction on diablo 3. they could have very well got a new art team and make a newer more detailed gothic styled arpg that even somewhat resembled the dark detail and realism of the diablo universe. for some loonytoon reason they just "went with Warcraft" and in my opinion Killed what we knew as the diablo series.

the guys at ggg have a great realistic art direction randomized drops, similar diablo universe gameplay and other things, #1 reason is this game is more like diablo 3 than the blizz title. and for that ggg i cant thank you enough :D
