" This is so true. It just gets frustrating when i either see twitch streamers breezing thru content or youtube videos of player guides that never work. I guess in my original post I shoulda emphasized i don't mind a logical intuitive challenge. I jus feel that this game blurs from challenging into tedium sometimes. especially with map drops. I hate how stingy map drops are, esp when i finally get my first T-16 and i chisel it and corrupt it and it bricks into something unplayable or if i can run it, i go through the whole thing without a single map drop....it's maddening |

Map drops stingy? Few years ago people would kill to have map sustain that we have now.

Map drops have never ever been easier, just push for 100+ completion and you can't run out of t16. In delirium i chose to remove t15 and below from my filter because too many maps dropped. If there's an "issue" it would be getting maps you actually want to run as t14-16.
No way am i running a dungeon map, not only being complete shit, it negates stuff like breach and legion entirely. You also get horizon orb and harbinger orb much easier now which accelerate atlas progression pretty well, along with zana. You just wasted 3 seconds reading this.

It's random. You'll hit dry spells. If you trade, you don't feel these spells as badly as a SSF player will. But work through them. You can mod a map up to where you have a positive expectation, and if your character is capable of running maps like that you'll soon have more than you need. At that level, your character's strength starts playing a role in map sustain.

The feedback has been great guys...thank you for not simply telling me I suck (even tho I do). I'll def be employing your suggestions this new league and making more targeted decisions as I level and begin end game content.
I appreciate all the help |

" If you will play in Ritual you can also choose rewards from rituals which progress atlas easier, chisels, fragments, scarabs, prophecies, maps, alchemy/vaal/horizon/harbinger orb. Anything that gives quant or pack size helps, or helps you roll maps better or more rewarding. I didn't look for it in the trailer, but if ritual mobs also drop loot it may be even easier to sustain maps. For me the little annoying part of atlas progression is between awakener 2-4, but from 4-8 i have few issues. This is where i try to save my horizon orbs for since i change entirely which area i do. During the time i get my first 16 watchstones i push completion as much as possible, without screwing over conqueror spawn, which do helps progression a lot after 90-100. Some of the unique maps also cost only a few chaos, which you could buy for an extra 5-8 early completion instead of waiting for them to drop. You just wasted 3 seconds reading this.
