Dude.....and I say that nicely. The 1% farms gear for the rest of us. You need an attitude adjustment. I used to play WOW back in the day, without a strong guild you didn't progress and you have to deal with all the crap and be on time for every raid. Spending extra hours on POE (on your schedule) is a million times better than being in a bitching complaining WOW guild.

thats a good point. each game comes with it's own baggage I spose

Put in a couple hours to think about what activities you want to exploit ahead of time. That could save you hours of aimless meandering once the league actually starts.

Me personally I would choose to focus on Ritual, Betrayal, and Harvest. The rest I'll leave up to the community.

The funny thing about Betrayal is once you wrap your mind around it actually makes sense unlike when it was first introduced I just didn't get it. Now I can glance at that weird board and make a call in about a second or two - memorize and understanding what I did so that I can quickly make another move on the next one. I actually surprised myself during Heist when I realized I understood Betryal now.

thats a good point. by the end of the heist I was finally starting to understand the syndicate. i just feel like i never have enough time like the all day streamers do. maybe if the leagues were longer?
BalorMage proved that it's possible to defeat Awakener 8 with only a few hours invested every day, even after joining half-way through the league.

Look up his Working Class Exile series on youtube.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.
It's not hard but requires time input, diligence and knowledge to make right decisions.

1. play a meta something with at least 10m end game AOE DPS

2. first two weeks play like 8-10 hours a day selling nearly everything you find. It adds up, even 5-8c items (don't go any lower, waste of time) and before you know it you have 30-50 ex to build nearly anything that trivializes bosses.

3. Start bossing selling all those valuable drops they drop and build stronger yet as income starts compounding.

SSF you can do it too but requires more time is all. Like I built two 98 character in Delve before I could beat all boss. I'm pretty caual now. Didnt play for like a year and came back for flashback heist only since. But rules have not changed. Play a lot sell a lot.

As far as complexity and exclusivity that's this game's feature not a bug. There are millions of Hello Kitty everyone wins out there for you to play if you don't like it. This one requires 10x more hours than an entire play through of Doom just to get to red maps. It is what it is.

Dont think too much about what other people do in this game, or try to compete.. you will have loads more fun, enjoying the content, and going in your own pace.. play the game and have fun its realy what it is all about.
Honestly, I've played this game for almost a decade and I don't think I've ever killed any end game content. I actually play a decent amount, but I only play HC and die a lot. Does it get annoying that, even playing for a decade, a lot of the content is poorly explained and requires watching 8 hour Youtube videos to understand? Yes, absolutely. But, its ok I guess. I think my only suggestion for GGG would be to atleast explain things better and make it more ituitive. This would make the game better and easier in a way that doesn't actually make the content easier.

SOme people are in red maps after 1st day of league (24h). People finish Doom in 2.5h?

I'll try your suggestions. I don't mind a challenge in fact i prefer it...I just sometimes the game crests over into tedium
