Calling it now: endless delve will be boring

Honestly as someone that got burnt out on Delve ever since finding out that looking in walls was tedious and a chore, as well as Synthesis just being more fun for me, I am enjoying the event a lot more than I expected to. Somethings I failed to consider is that while I don't enjoy Delve as much in the endgame where a lot of it is looking in walls to try to find things, I forgot that I actually do enjoy spending a couple of thousand sulphite when leveling a 2nd character to level them up and this event emphasizes that aspect. Another thing is that the lack of crafting bench and targeted uniques acts as fun handicap that's nice to do once in awhile.
As someone who only delves every once in a while to try to make a little currency and that hates SSF, I'm enjoying it. With some tweaks, this could even be an option to acts once you finished the story once in a league. I think I'd be ok even with a "SSF only until you get to maps" condition as long as I have the hideout with the crafting bench and Lilly.

The internal testers at GGG were right. This would be much more compelling as a shorter race. Just thought I'd mention that since usually the only context you hear about their QA is negative.

A range of 1-48 hours seems like the sweet spot for this event.

I mean, stop playing when you hit 95 (or you get bored)? The length of the event isn't important.
As someone who used delve mainly to get the last 30% xp from levels 90+, I'm also enjoying it. The handicaps combined with the free passives and ascendancy points, are making it quite good.

Could be better if we were getting a free quicksilver flask as starting item, but it's ok.

Let me explain further. As a participant or spectator this would be much more interesting as an event that lasted either 1-6 hours, or 24 hours, or 48 hours.

Because it is guaged by depth, from a spectator's point of view, the 'race' doesn't really start until day 7 anyway when it's a one week race.

From a racers point of view, they are going to be making the lion's share of their progress in the first fraction of the race, I don't expect the final 3 days to be compelling gameplay from the pov of the guy sitting in the chair.

A shorter race would make it more likely that you'd see multiple people within 'striking distance' of each other as the clock winds down.

The length of the event is perhaps THE MOST IMPORTANT part of an event. Endless Delve as an experiment, or as fan service, or as an alternate leveling system, or whatever else it may be is a different discussion where the time is mostly irrelevant.

I understand your point innervation but it might actually make the last day pretty interesting, its like a 6 day gearup then everybody whose interested in winning plunges straight down

I'd have loved a 6 hour though I was pretty competitive ladder wise for the first 3 hours ^^
As a leveling experience I didn't get bored once. I get bored all of the time leveling through the "story". I didn't miss the lab either.

I'm not a huge SSF fan but my progression has been fine so far. I just didn't pick a great build for delving lol.
Have to say, I thought I would get bored pretty quick. However it has been pretty decent. Hell I wish it was an option vs the story at this point.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
It's pretty silly to judge "boredom" on the first day of the league.
it was fun till lvl 70 but the resistance penalty is too much hassle in SSF. i'm used to just trading for gear instead of picking up hundreds of garbage rares hoping to find some with resists
