Please, introduce Awakening levels beyond A8 to challenge uber-builds (e.g. >200M DPS)
" That's not related to what we're talking about... Sid is basically saying 100 billion damage is processed internally as only 100 instead, but the game client will spit back 100 billion. The problem is when you play with another player that is actually doing 100 damage. You can't shrink the stats down like that anymore because of player 2. ...
You basically introduced a scuffed version of the floating point system. Like... why. Not only does this have a worse performance than just using long long, you now have to deal with a completely new problem of accuracy errors. |

You could just play t19 100% delirious maps.
Sitting in HO spamming alts for 4 hours straight is peak PoE gameplay. Thanks, Chris.

I would rather see them put the 200m builds in line with the other builds. Aura stacking needs to go too.

" This makes more sense for games where your damage numbers are really big, even some mobile games might use this system. Here you just have to use a float point for the significant part (1<= |m| <= 10) and a long for the magnitude n (-2.147.483.648 to 2.147.483.647) The display of the numbers become easier, a simple m * 10 ^ n. I don't see rounding or accuracy problems here. I'm a programer and if I were to write a system I'd send it in a json like with the m and n to the client, and the client would be responsible for displaying the number. Way less processing on the server side and less info send. On topic: some op things must go, like aura stacking, voices, etc. the game becomes balanced around that shit and now we are here. "There's no thing like random one-shots in this game. You only die because you take 353,456,237 hits in 0.2 seconds."

" QFT As GGG caters to those who can reach absurd levels of power, they end up making the game harder for everyone else. Let's not forget the fact they buffed mob HP and damage twice so far, which has had the consequence of making some poor builds non-viable. Continuing this way will only further narrow build diversity. We need to reel this in and start knocking these powerful builds down to be somewhere close to everything else. Rich players can't complain that the game is boring if you don't let them get strong enough to trivialize it. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! And the winds will cry / and many men will die / and all the waves will bow down / to the Loreley |

LMAO at this dude. First you wanna bring the mess of Torment levels/difficulties from D3 and to make this "suggestion" even funnier, you really think that even 10% of the playerbase has access to awakening gems? The game SHOULD NOT be changed to please a ridiculously small portion of the playerbase with godly gear that allows them to one shot bosses. You just gonna kill the interest in the game even more to the average and casual player. No, just, NO. ffs

" It's multiple mirror build, it's working as intended. What is even a point of the progression if you cannot trivialize the game? It would be stupid and boring, like it was before Ascendancy patch. Remember that after Ascendancy there was always a build which could trivialize any encounter in the game (except maybe for really deep Aul), and it should stay that way, to provide actual interest in upgrading the character. |

" You can upgrade a character without making the game so easy that you have to complain to GGG that the game is too easy so they have to buff mobs and make the game even harder for poor people. Sorry, I don't care about how much it costs for builds to be powerful. Rich players can't complain about the game being too easy (thus boring) if you don't let them trivialize it in the first place. Every time GGG did something to make the game harder for rich players, it's ultimately been at the detriment of those who can't afford to meet the new demand. I'm not talking about making strong builds 100% comparable to every other build either. Some are simply going to be stronger than others, especially in a game where there's tons of ways to mix and match skills. However, I want there to be a difference between a 1m and 2m DPS build, not a 1m - 50m - 100m - 200m+ difference. That way, poor players who can only reach 1m or less aren't getting decimated by the ever-expanding presence of 1shots, offscreen kills, death explosions, diminishing telegraphs, and kills obstructed by a clusterfuck of particles that's all meant to provide some semblance of challenge for the wealthy. " Hopefully this will never happen, since this will completely murder this game's purpose. You should be absolutely able to trivialize the game with enough currency, otherwise there isn't any point of even upgrading the build. What should be done, is that they should not balance around multiple mirror builds at all. If you can invest even a single mirror into the build, it should totally faceroll everything in the game tbh, farming a mirror takes long enough. They should balance around 10-100ex builds at max. " They never buffed the monsters to make it harder for aurastacker and other mirror tier builds though. They buffed monsters to make it harder for average build. Right before the last boss and resistance buff, you could faceroll T16 in Tabula (like, I killed Shaper with leveling wands and Tabula), which was the problem they wanted to address. It wasn't about rich players, it was about overall balance of the game. Last edited by Tortoise_Turtle#1298 on Nov 4, 2020, 6:47:30 PM
