Please, introduce Awakening levels beyond A8 to challenge uber-builds (e.g. >200M DPS)

Perhapse anyone interested in PoE one day or another encountered Uber builds capable of oneshotting most game bosses.

For example,
https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/jl1g79/a8_sirus_kill_with_default_attack/

So if killing boss is a joke for such builds, the proposal is:

To introduce awakening levels beyond A8 with the mechanics:

When you kill Sirus A8, you have a choice to select A9.
All monsters including all bosses (excluding Delve) will gain +20% maximu life and +20% global damage multiplier.

At A10 additional +20% life/damage over A9, meaning 44%/44% over A8
At A11 additional +20% life/damage over A10, meaning 73%/73% over A8

etc.

And making this staging infinite like delve.

This will bring new challenge to top players and many fun to us, casual player to see what is really a top build :)

Currently such competition is held within narrow community of delvers with very special builds.

Or similar method to bring more challenge by scaling life/dps of bosses.

So let me get this straight, you're practically suggesting to introduce D3 torment levels to this game, no? And while at that, make them infinite. As if there isn't enough ridiculous power creep around every corner, already...

You really want more difficulty in this game matey? Do you? Cause this game ain't really difficult, more like tedious to surreal levels by now. Then agree to the idea that they should implement MONSTER IMMUNITIES, and double immunities to ALL BOSSES on top, while removing all cheap & stupid one shot mechanics. That would make this game a hard to beat game, not your copy/paste already tried and utterly failed idea.

I know nothing about D3, I had played diablo 1 and diablo 2 before PoE.
Can you explain, why the idea of what you call tournament is "utterly failed idea"? We already have such system in Delve.
Does it affect the PoE playing/motivation? I do not care about deep Delve, It is interesting, how far someone can push the delve, isn't it?

So i see no reasons that it is bad idea.

The difference of regular bossing is that doing this kind of challenge do not open new locations, new lore, new loot. That is why it is fair competition.

Why the game is tedious? We've seen tons of videos doing Sirus A8 deathless.

And PoE already has challenges (achievements for the league 1-40). And it even has rewards pushing players to play harder, to get this cat Hana companion at 24, as an example.

- technical limitations.
I have not seen the sources for PoE, don't even have a clue of what languages are used, but how this will affect 10x HP and 10x damage multiplier for Sirus? How is this related to this topic idea? Was there any evidence of hitting 32bit variables?

it's a failed idea because there is no end.
Why? Will it disattract another players or you speak about that very few people will try to set >A8 due to no profit in terms of loot?

What you are asking for is Paragon and Rift system from D3. Which as a system has it's own issues.
What issues?

There is constant power creep in this game - a lot of the problems with older items becoming redundant stem from this.
OK, but how will it affect the gameplay? There once was a system of repeating acts 1-2-3 1-2-3 1-2-3 killing Dominus each time with increaased level. But there was a reward in terms of item levels.

So You criticise this idea, ok, but what can you suggest for players from the link from the firs post featuring insane aurastacking., convertin evasion to armor and then +10000% increased damage build, other than nerf-nerf-nerf?

Or we could just nuke player damage by getting rid of aura stacking. That would be a good start.
Yes. Aurastackers that go above 2,147,483,647 with the dps go into negative numbers.
Ok, not know this. But how does this relate to uber Sirus? Can be solved by applying a handicap to player: e.g. 5% less HP and 5% less damage at each stage, bit this is not good solution - to see handicapped character :)

Read above. D3 "fixes" this by making sets, and then sets come in 3 flavours, normal ,ancient and primal to skip the 1 in 1 billion rolls, but even then you only want primal sets, and you scrap the rest... well, for scraps, cuz that's how D3 items work.

And at the end of the day, it results in all builds being damage immune, which is also the issue with the aurastacker builds. Every build in D3 that can clear GR 150 is damage immune or has 99% damage mitigation.

Ok, as far as I remember D2, there was immune. There was no endless system of infinite increase of monster damage/HP. Whay are we comparing the topic idea to D3, if game mechanics are different? Immunes changes a lot in gameplay, while handicap/monster buff does not.

I suggest they roll a new character.

The point of chars like that is to break the game. They broke it, now roll a new char or play with a broken game.

Aurastacker like builds, builds immune builds, 1-2 billion dps builds etc, are very few and very gimmicky and they are mostly made for killing w/e in 0.02 seconds. That's it, they aren't made for "another endgame" they are just made because they can be made.

The game cannot and should not be balanced around builds like those. Should they be in the game? YES. Should the game be balanced around them? NO.

However there is ladder system around Labyrinth, the Labyrinth itself is an idea of buffing the same content 4 times + recent 83 lvl monsters. And it has a ladder. Does it break a game? No. Why not to extend this to infinity? Why not to extend this to other game content?

D3 does D3 better than PoE wil ever do it because of how items work in each game. PoE is more of a D2 successor than D3 was regarding the itemization.

Ok, but as you wrote above, D3 has different game mechanics. Why are we comparing it to PoE? I speak about quantitative challenge, while you talk how bad is qualitative(immune stages) mechanics.

Uh.. that's blatantly wrong. If they really felt like it all they need to do is change the data types to long long.
They should just make an entirely new boss that actually builds his defenses and kites you like an actual exile, spams flasks just like you, and portals out or logouts when he's about to die. They can start with something that is based on one of those pesky builds in HoGM, or an aurastacker with mirrors worth of gear or a carrion golementalist that hides in a corner while he lets his minions hunt you. Yes! Now they will actually have to fight someone like themselves.
Bold of some posts here asuming that the next "balance manifesto" wont hand over more hammer swings to popular builds.. throwing more things to "challenge" yourself, when you already have tools at your disposal..

The only thing I do wonder if builds such as aura stacking is something to "chase" like HH at that point you defeat the game.
"Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure."

Once you break the cycle of fear no angels or demons can whisper you their sweet nothing words.

poe0.2/10. Nuff said.

nerf the sh.. out of that crap. kill it with fire.

few stupid builds (as always centered around aura stacking and %effect) make entire game looks ridiculous
