You demand to be as fast clearspeed as huge aoe builds, delve like dedicated delve builds do, be super tanky like old HOA Mana Guardians?

I am fairly sure now that you have very little game knowledge and you're probably trying to make build by yourself and failing - all that is helping you there is probably cheat legacy gear that people don't need in league to play melee. Build I linked is more than enough to play the game. Go ahead, make a better build, or at least show us your profile so we can see this amazing league builds of yours.

that 4k life abyssus character used divine flesh or mom? because noone is going to believe that 4k without one of the 'cheap but absurd' mitigation mechanics will cut it in such content.

and delirium still had ~16% less damage taken on the tree free for taking. divine flesh got nerfed since then, all sources of less damage taken taken out.. wonder if it is still possible to repeat


it is still the same case: meta player comes and tells others that it is ok to play crap. crap that meta players wont ever play because.. it is crap after all

minion weapons are expensive? so why the most popular are 1c Cold Iron Points?.. spectre wands etc are expensive (but.. you dont really need them, it is pure overkill) but golem builds are fine with 2 CIP's. sure the anima stones are expensive (mostly due to sick demand) but still less expensive than GOOD melee weapon


i would like to see - for ONCE - a melee player actually standing up and explaining why melee is a valid choice in this clear-speed, burst-damage, rng-bull.. oriented game. right now all i see is condescending tales of 'it is fine. i would not play it ever but it should be fine for you' from people who play meta and reap all the benefits



if that was your build guide, sorry. but when i read 'strong build' i mean that. strong build has it all - clear speed, single target, tankiness. this build has poor clear speed, questionable single target and no tankiness.

apply your standards to this build - there is a reason why you play summoner golems, because golemancer has all 3. (and is much cheaper than that cleaver)

so again, why is that cleaver character strong?

Why are you raging so much? Melee builds are still good, already linked a vid. You're telling me that a really great weapon cost more than bad minion wand - seems ok for me. Great minion wand is way more expensive. Why cheap Cold Irons are popular? because they're ok-ish and cheap -you don't need insane gear to play the game (and it was shown on the cleave video).

I play elementalist golems, and I had many other builds including many melee - thank you for missing that part.

Just don't do your own build when it doesn't work, there are plenty good melee builds out there.

the build youve linked.. is very, very weak. nice video/editing and valiant effort. but the end result is a showcase of a very weak (paper, no damage) character that barely manages t16 content

for 1/20th of its cost any summoner will wipe the floor with it.

ergo: it is not an option if you want to 'compete' - picking this cleaver is auto-loss. entire point of this thread - there are 'options' and 'options'. if you want to get to '40' in reasonable time/get lots of currency or simply be able to enjoy farming top-end content you cannot pick crap (like cleaver) but you have to pick from very narrow selection of builds (including golemancers)

what makes it even more pathetic - said cleaver costs A LOT more than golemancer yet is worse in every measurable aspect. thus - there are no options but auto-win and auto-loss choices

So please link a better cleave build video without standard cheat gear if this build is so very weak.

I think you just want super OP build, because what I linked is more than enough to clear endgame. Good golemancer cost A LOT more than this cleave - if you would play the game, you would know.

I am also talking about balance btw. You just can't comprehend the fact that balance doesn't mean that everything has to be equal. But why do i even bother, the 2 of you are utterly hopeless cases it'd be better of talking to a wall.

Btw as a funny side fact. There are 9 mentions of melee on the first page of this topic. 7 of them come from Sids post. Talking about forum monologues xD

/builds on poeninja clearly confirms it. It's the same skills and archetypes ruling the meta.
