XP loss on death = time loss. Time loss = frustration/negative feelings.

Are you really going to quit?
Also I have a question - are you streaming by any chance? I would love to watch how you play.
Biggest compliments for my crafted items - "bs, they must have been RMT'ed"

I'm disabled, I have rare case of semperduravera, so I can write things that may look rude, but it is because of disability - I'm forced to tell truth using words you may not like.

me neither i just dont bother aiming for 100 since 3.0 which means i die on purpose so i wont lose 10% on somewhere at 80% or so
strange yet you have not a single character in heist league that is higher than 97
which is my current level
also misinterpretation of comments means that people like that not really often talk to other people
i'd change that if i were you (happy im not otherwise i'd not even bother trying to convince people that my opinion is better than your's)
i know how toxic and insultive you were in the past alongside with few others that "suddenly" not posting here anymore and they had all the same opinion about people that dislike the "dp"

i wont reply to both of you since talking to you is meaningless anyway

Solve problem. Play hardcore.

Honestly, the real solution, and i'm sure this is how the majority of people deal with it is this:

1: Dont look at your exp bar until you're level 93.

2A: Consider level 100 an important and challenging target. (goto3A)
2B: Consider level 100 not important or a challenge you don't like. Its just a few more passive points. (goto3B)

3A: Do it manually because you will be proud if you reach 100. If you die, you will feel shit, but thats the cost of feeling proud when you do make it. Its good that the death penalty is there, because else there wouldn't be any pride either.

3B: Buy chayula runs. The final passive points come at a progressively steeper price just like gear improvements. You can make them cheaper (more like free or even lucrative) by Hosting the runs yourself.

Personally i do a bit halfway. I just play, not worrying about death, if i happen to reach 30%ish in a level, i'm like "oh wouldnt it be cool to gain another level". I then play save content until im 60%ish where i think "aw buggers, this takes too long and i got a sirus fight waiting for me, lets pay for some chayulas so i can get to the next level and start dying again"

PS: Somewhere in your posts you also mentioned "casual players". I dont think PoE is a game that is really made for casual players.

I rarely play now but I don't die like you apparently keep trying though or the OP I suppose.

Probably should work on your defenses huh I'd suggest it.

The greatest sin of the exp penalty is that you don't know why you died, so you can't use death as a learning experience.

a deathlog would only help a small amount. (please don't argue with the chinese "death log" that thing is crap) In most cases you can "sense" what killed you, not because you saw the actual attack, but the actions you took before.

A few examples would be opening a "ice nova" chest, nasty legion encounters since most builds can nuke them out of stasis instantly or delve encounters.

You see what's going to kill you, you just can't do anything about it, since human reactions still need time.
I died countless times to stupid stuff i just couldn't care to notice because gotta go fast.

A deathlog would not help against that and as many people have noticed is very hard to implement if the game has to read all the modifiers that come into play.

I only try to get one characte to lvl 100 in standard (league shouldn't even bother to do if you play for fun) and i pumped nearly every currency i have into that one character. On my other i could not care less, lvl 95-96 is more than enough and is easy to achive if you would take a moment to read the mapmods.

"trying" ?

i literally posted a picture with "whatever you say"
if you'd actually read my comment before

means i dont give the slightiest sh*t about what he/she said since there is no base for argument with these type of people ...

i also wont play up a lvl 100 char only to prove a point which i wasnt even trying to do

if you'd actually read and comprehend my other comments about the death penalty you'd understand

otherwise
"whatever you say"
i dont really care if that is cringy or funny in any way
its none of my business if you understand comments wrong ..
