XP loss on death = time loss. Time loss = frustration/negative feelings.

That's one of the few ideas I read so far that make some sense at least. Only problem I see here is, how do u generate the XP boost? Is it just time not died? Time logged in without death? Monsters slain without death?

There are several szenarios where this could get abused or ppl would feel the need to stop playing a certain character for a time, bcz they feel its wasted without the bonus. Maybe they would keep logged in while sleeping or something like that.

I wish GGG would just remove exp loss on death until level 99 :)

maybe double the exp it takes to get to 100 or add something cool like a unique jewel slot for only level 100s.
The xp loss does nothing beneficial for the game. People that want to level fast just run ultra safe, very samey things like pure breaches/carried 5ways/maps with aurabot, with 0 risk of dying, while the people that actually die and are affected by the xp loss are those legitimately playing varied content with actual challenge. On top of that, deaths in PoE are now almost never the players fault with the ridiculous speed of the current game, and the absolute shit telegraphing for increasingly spiky damage designed for no reason other than to give Zizaran fans their fix as they watch the daily rip clips, because if you can't kill HC players before they react, they'll just insta logout and then complain the game isn't challenging enough because they took out all of the challenge themselves.

The xp penalty made sense 3 years ago. It doesn't now, because it was made for a game where GGG still followed their design philosophy and passion rather than the trail of money.
There's no powercreep here. Creep implies it's slow and could be overlooked, this is a full out sprint.

You can level to 100 playign the game normally. Okay, maybe you won't deep delve or do 100% delirious maps, but pretty much everything else is on the table and doable whilst pushing for 100.

I've posted on this topic on several occasions and I really hate the DP. Here's a suggestion while minding the elitists:

Put a check box same as SFF and name it Cowardice. By starting this on character in league will set your level cap to 99 or 98... 100 is disabled. Disable 40/40 achievment for the entire league (deleting character does not remove this). Replace my avatar picture with chicken if you like so other players are aware of this fact. DP is disabled for this option.

This way I can play to my heart content, other can avoid playing/trading with me due the fact I'm not able to beat the game "fair and square".

Characters converted to Standard would remain level capped at 99, you can never achieve lvl 100 with cowardice character. Avatar picture of chicken remains too. 40/40 is limited to league anyways.
You can make cowardice character in standard too, level cap and chicken avatar remains...

In game non-idle time w/o dying. (Idle time being time in towns.)

Sacred did something like this, except applied to drop rate and magic-find.
I've said this in another thread. GGG should add an option in the map device where you could run the MAP without the DP but, the MAP would not have any loot/drop rate, only XP. Obviously this option would be free just like the Quantity one that we have right now.

Face it, GGG will NEVER remove this stupid DP because they still want this game to be know to their audience as hardcore. This option is the only one viable. It's not great to run maps with zero loot, but this game is not even a true ARPG anyway, you need to TRADE 99% of the gear you need for your build instead of you know, killing mobs and actually finding good gear on your own that can do the endgame content.
