So why is the chineese client a much better game than the western one?

it's not that much better.

path of building is much more powerful than the ingame planner,

the "currency collecting pay to win" - pet has to be repurchased every league,

which monster did the killing blow to your char is only interesting in some scenarios, mostly it's the combination of several effects/attacks that matter towards your defeat,

the ingame trading ... well, they can't trade at all until they reached maps, do they?

Better? No. Polished? Uh, yes. The website alone speaks volumes there.

Yes. Buying every mtx ggg throws out there, picking up supporter packs before the league even starts shows ggg they can do whatever they want and westerners will take it and still pay up.

You forgot to mention the ingame flask macro available on the chinese client that can be a bannable offence on the western one if you get caught.

At this point you can grovel all you want ggg ceased giving a flying dildo about westerners a long time ago.

They are the same company! Surely when the chineese fork the game and create new features then GGG can merge them into their version of the game. Why wouldn't they want to use free development time like that?

A death-report, unless it is very verbose, is meaningless in PoE. It's usually the other fifty-eleven bits of damage that kills the player, not the last tick...

BUT, it's expected in that market to have that level of detail and that little bit of "extra something." Players can laugh about being killed by a "goblin" or some explosion-monster or whatever... But,it's meaningless because they've spent the entire encounter "standing in the fire."

I'm willing to bet some other popular game has such a report and the players now expect to see it in similar games. If it's not there, they'll complain.


That's entirely untrue. Most things that kill players are one-shots.

It is quite possible tat this feature would illustrate that problem of the game way too much and that's why is is not yet introduced here.

First off; I don't think that the Chinese version is necessarily more polished than the international version. Sure, they have a few more QoL features, but they also have some crap I think is making it more unpolished. "Alien" pick-up pets? That's not polish, nor QoL, that's treating the symptoms in an idiotic, P2W way.

ANYHOW, this whole case shouldn't be a compromise. There shouldn't be "catches" to introducing good QoL features. Certain QoL features SHOULD be in the international version. Period. Without the need of comparing it to the Chinese version.

No. Most non-boss things that kill you, is a result of a series of factors, often interpreted as a one-shot.
