Did you play Diablo 3? It's atmosphere is pixar made the apocalypse. The overwhelming response to the atmosphere was that it felt dissonant. People asked if reaper of souls was made the way it was specifically because the base game wasn't dark enough. The graphics, dialogue, and characters clash so hard with the game's story.

Not sure if PoE is up to date with HTML technology but I could always go with just using a bunch of beams to make a massive title header on the ground.
