Surprised no one is talking about the newest GGG info on Harvest going core in 3.13

As much as I hated Harvest, I absolutely don't mind that it goes core. What I hated is that the league was 100% crafted based. For people who don't like to craft there was absolutely nothing.

I just hope they won't make an other crafting league after this. Harvest should really be enough.

Whats to hate about being able to actually make good items instead of relying on rng or spending 200ex to well gear a char.
If you didn't want to craft you could still make bank selling seeds. I see no downside to this.

You do not need 200ex to gear a good character in this game.

i have high standards ^ ^

why dont they post this on their official site?

Best question on this forum in ages.
I do wish they would put info like this here as well.
Not everyone is overly keen on reading Reddit...

As for harvest returning: yay!
Hope they do not cut too much away but we'll have to wait and see :)
As long as it doesn't have that god awful mechanic, it will be a good thing.

Plenty of people have talked about it on the Feedback And Suggestions section of the forums and have also outlined how ridiculous it is that this is information we only get on Reddit and not important enough to outline on their own website. Just shows how out of touch the company has gotten when it comes to dev to player interaction.

Harvest will become core as part of 3.13 but in a slightly different form. (interesting word choice, I hope "slightly" ends up being true to its meaning)
This sounds as disappointing as it looks already just from these few words. Be ready for Synthesis treatment with Harvest where everything creative, fun, and unique about Harvest is stripped away and made into some dumbed-down version for the masses like they did with Synthesis.

I said it before and I'll say it again,

I personally won't be coming back to the game until Harvest with its garden mechanic is back. It's sad to part ways really but if the devs want to reduce the game to only a killing things loot pinata parade then I guess I have to move on to other games that offer more than just this. (Runescape, World of Warcraft, Torchlight 2 and other ARPG's that have more role playing elements to them that add variety and fun to the game instead of the same old, rinse and repeat, monotonous nature of killing things over and over with no variation in gameplay).

Let us zoom out more. Bring back 32:9, Heist Alt Quality Gems, Gear Enchanting, Prophecy, Metamorph & Crucible. Stop removing content from the game. Stop nerfing everything. Stop making the game slow

They should just get rid of crafting, like you get a piece of gear and just pick what prefixes and suffixes you want, make the tiers random, I think that would please all the redditors and burn outs who want everything handed to them on a silver platter in regards to this game nowadays.

Hyperbole much?

It's awesome that Harvest is going core. It sucks that the announcement of that fact is made on Reddit.

Judging from what I've seen on Reddit, it seems like the majority of players do want crafting in this game, rather than gambling. I am looking forward to it, but am still afraid that they will cripple it beyond recognition.
Remove Horticrafting station storage limit.
Not sure if anyone actually calculate the time needed for Harvest when it goes core. Chances are they will tweak most of the crafting to be in T2 and T3 seeds, leaving T1 to currency conversion and socket linked etc.

Going by the GGG trend where they want core mechanics items to be available in maps rather than Acts, you will not be able to farm any of them easily either.

So with 10% probability, thats 1 Harvest seeds drop for every 10 maps. You will probably need a few drops to plant them fully ( 24 T1 seeds ). Lets just say 3 drops to get all 24 seeds. Then you need to wait 3 cycles for it to Harvest. so that is 60 maps ( 10 x ( 3+3 )). After harvesting 24 T1 you probably get 2-3 T2. So you will need to go on another 8 rounds to fully plant T2. You can do it concurrently while waiting but thats still at least another 60 maps or so.

Now to wait for T2 to harvest, usually it is 6-8 cycles. That is another 60-80 maps. We will get maybe 2-3 T3 seeds drop. Look at the maths. After doing close to 200 maps, you only get 2-3 T3 seeds. If you are gunning for T4, you will need 1000++ maps!

Good luck with crafting especially if they do not change the core mechanic system.
Hopefully “farmville” dies in a legendary fire.

3.13 was the pinnacle of PoE. IVYS+1 Gang 4 Life.
I love that Harvest crafting returns in 3.13. It might not be as overpowered as it was in 3.11 but this game badly needs deterministic crafting.

The current casino gambling crafting is just straight out bad and most times just deletes vast amounts of currency. Even when you have more deterministic crafting like Fossils and such the RNG is so bad that the Fossils don't even roll the very tags they should roll more.

Hope it gets implemented in a good way.
Don't mind the crafting if lessened in power, the Garden could be lost to oblivion for all I care but hope Oshabi comes back improved too.

Will be interesting to see what is done, very short period from exclusion to inclusion esp. with so much going on. I like how things are integrated into core and have always appreciated how GGG continuously work on their game to improve it, hope a decent balance is found.

Still think it was a mistake to introduce Harvest as it was but easy for me to say.
