PoE 1 PC servers are restarting in: .
They should be back up in approximately .Real Money Auction House RMAH for poe
" How is that any different from a clan/guild who post when they find a good rare/unique they can't use, and swap around so everyone levels as fast as possible? Or a group of people who run complimentary-but-different builds together, so that the bows always go to the bow ranger and the wands always go to the wand witch, and the 2h axes always go to the 2h axe AoF Templar (or whatever.)? If money simply duplicates something that can be achieved through multiple other means, it is simply an alternative, not an advantage. |

I think I'll actually copy / paste this ^ post whenever someone starts about the RMAH again.
With your permisson of course. :P ''Stand amongst the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters.

I'll sell you permission (and my signature) for a beta key, or $10.
Just kidding, feel free. |

" How will it affect you though? Think about it. |

" In the interest of fairness, I have to point out that the people who level fastest will level further, and since exp is the "Score" for the ladders, it affects you because people can pass you who would not have otherwise, affecting your final position and potentially your placing. Should GGG ever add any benefit to being Top 1/5/10/whatever in a league, things which help you achieve that absolutely affect other players. (plus the already existant but far more ephemeral "bragging rights" or "personal satisfaction" or "e-peen".) That said, I stand by that RMAH doesn't affect other players any *more* than the million other ways you can gain an advantage - more luck, more playtime, more friends, more coordination, the inevitable item black market, and so on... |

" Here is a very abstract example, but I hope it gets the point across. If player A finds uber item X then he can either use it to advance faster in the ladder or sell it to player B, who then will use it to advance faster in the ladder. How does it affect you who of them is using the item? How could you even tell the difference? |
![]() |
" I suppose I misunderstood you (or am picking nits too finely.). Yes, there is no difference between someone who buys an item, and someone who finds it, and someone who trades for it, and someone who is just flat out given it, in terms of how much the item helps them. It doesn't magically gain 10 DPS because cash changed hands, you're right. I thought you meant "how does someone else leveling faster affect you". |
![]() |
" Difference is you have a group that plays the game. To be able to get the item, you need to be in that group or have frends from game and so on. But to buy item you dont need anything from that, you need only money. |
![]() |
" That's completely arbitrary, and therefore an unacceptable argument, unless you care to provide an actual answer: How is money "less fair" than having more time, or more friends, or more luck, or more connections, or more expertise, or more skill? It's also untrue - you don't NEED more friends, those were simply examples. You could as easily trade for the time (without using money.) for *the exact same advantage* from some random stranger. If person A acquires an item, without hacking the server, how does it matter how they came to acquire it? |

Easy Solution:
If u want a RMAH -> Play Diablo 3 If u don´t want a RMAH -> Play PoE RMAH would be the worse that could happen to PoE IGN: kReiZy
