We dont really know the specific terms of the buyout to begin with. We don't know if GGG still holds the License for "Path of Exile", and its infrastructure (probably not)

I suppose its possible to go ahead and branch the sequel as another game, bit it would be at the cost of many millions (mostly at Chris 's personal expense). Is a lot to ask, and unlikley.

3. Geopolitical ambitions of CN is a whole different topic.

5. Eventual side effects related to p.4 and potential inability of tggg to operate on the American/Western market is a whole different topic.

6. Business relations between 10cent and what's left of ggg is a whole different topic.


I'm amazed that this thread isn't locked yet - being well aware of ToS, trigger happiness of certain ggg members, and 10cent practices to strictly monitor and control their ownership. Censorship if needed.

I also highly doubt there are too many forum members, intellectually capable of freely discussing on the aforementioned topics, or having the relevant data if so.

My guess is that they're hoping that giving this one thread some slack will keep it out of the others. Hope that works out for them.
