GGG, Tencent, & The CCP Human Camps
I love PoE, but this is beyond disgusting.
I'm pretty sure it's already well known by now, about the recent surfacing of the inhumane Camps in China and Tencent working directly with the CCP. But now that Tencent and China is underfire, specially about the horrible Camps, I really need to ask: GGG, will you leave Tencent? You built PoE without them, and you never even needed them. I was here before Tencent even was apart of your company, and I know for a fact that you didnt need them. So with all the horrors now known to the world, from both Tencent and the CCP, why are you still with them? Did you honestly take so much of their gold, that you no longer can be independent? I honestly feel like leaving. As I do not want to be affiliated with a company that supports people and children being killed or forced into labor by the CCP. Last bumped on Aug 12, 2020, 4:07:47 AM

" And Blitzchung broke rules so he could get an important message across. So I could care less about the CoC, atm. |

I agree with OP about the inhuman abuse of detainees in parts of China. However I don't think that GGG brought TenCent in, so much as TenCent own part of GGG.
"Chinese gaming giant Tencent has acquired a majority stake in Grinding Gear Games, the New Zealand-based studio behind online action RPG Path of Exile. The developer announced the acquisition in a forum Q&A designer to assure its community that the move will not significantly impact their experience playing the game." -Source Google Search As such you only real method to protest would be to quit the game. If enough people did that then I have no doubt that TenCent/GGG might have to shut infrastructure but it more than likely would close western infrastructure while keeping Chinese. (Not especially impacting TenCent's ability to make money.) |

" What a stupid hill to die on. Blitzchung at least let the world hear his words. You're going to be banned for writing something that maybe a dozen people will read at most. |

Tencent paid at least 100 million NZD to buy 80% of the GGG stock so I seriously doubt that Chris and company want to buy the stock back even if they had the money. Would you do that just on principal (I highly doubt it)?
"You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration. The perfect solution to fix Trade Chat: www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2247070 |

HA HA HA, the kid has "discover america", ha ha ha. another kid who have read something on facebook and now thinks he discover something. Do you know how long those things you mention are happening in china (if they are true)? grow up kid and next time inform yourself a little bit about things you are gonna whine.
And if you are not a kid then education in your country sucks a lot. GGG has sold his company and IP to tencent. This is nothing new, a lot of companies sell themself to bigger ones when they offer enough money. This is called capitalism. You are telling me that you are concern about something that is happening in china and now want to make a stand? You do understand that this PC, mobile device, ipad, etc. you are currently using is made in china. If you are so against them, why are you using theirs product and support them financially to do what you are against now. This is called being hypocrite. |

" A company that has been bought by another company can't leave. GGG is now the property of Tencent and unless Tencent sells their shares, this will remain. Also the people "can't leave" and make another company because their contracts doesn't allow this. |

Never heard of such camps until now, so not that well known I suppose.
No sources of any kind either. The only thing that surprises me is that you didn't use alt account to make your post like some people here do. |
